R1. Vale Elite Belle Handicap - Scott Embry
As we remember a WA star in Elite Belle we may be watching as a new star is born, while not at the same class level as Elite Belle, Tick Tick Bloom looks ready to burst onto the scene at 1800m and get favourite backers off to a cracker. Fast finishing effort first up with weight behind Settlers Creek was encouraging, second up run chasing He Or She was super and third up expecting a soft victory. Last Saturday Ascot was terribly leader bias so Rive Gauche should go well with a first-up record of 3 starts for 2 wins while Galaxy Prince usually improves second up.
5. TICK TICK BLOOM - 4. RIVE GAUCHE - 2. GALAXY PRINCE
SUGGESTED BET - 5. TICK TICK BLOOM $100

Hard to split Red Ora and Volkoff with Red Ora 2 from 2 and Volkoff 3 from 4, however, with a slight weight advantage and superior barrier draw I've settled on Volkoff. Both gallopers ran over 1000m on Jan 7th with Volkoff clocking 58.57 and Red Ora 59.23. Subsequent winners from the Red Ora form line include Klondike King and Prince Friar while subsequent winners from the Volkoff form line include Helms Gate and Muchos Kudos. They should kick away from the field and I'm more than likely to simply follow the market move. Stocks should fill a very popular trifecta.
5. VOLKOFF - 2. RED ORA - 6. STOCKS
SUGGESTED BET - 5. VOLKOFF $25 x $25
Military Ruler has been well supported at each of his three runs back from a spell, last start he couldn't run out the 2000m so dropping back to a mile looks ideal. Should either lead or box seat and I'm expect Pike to salute. Nanci Gee was a surprise winner at Pinjarra but with Ginger Ninja producing an effortless maiden victory on Wednesday I think the form can hold up and she can give this a shake at odds. Fathing Fast is still a maiden galloper but a win looks just round the corner. Upsidedown Bob ran a faster final 600m than Fathing Fast last start and picks up 1.5kg for being beaten just over a length which should bring him into the mix.
1. MILITARY RULER - 6. NANCI GEE - 2. FATHING FAST
SUGGESTED BET - 1. MILITARY RULER $60
Speedy You Will Be Queen is ultra consistent, 12 starts over 1000m for 4 wins and 5 minor placings, 6 starts at Ascot for 2 wins and 3 minor placings and Ellie Cockram has ridden her 7 times for 2 wins and 4 minor placings, a great association. Has opened up around $7 which to me is excellent eachway shopping. Nightingale Road has blinkers added to gear and can charge home off the back of an anticipated hot top end speed. Ran a cracker in the Thunderbolt behind Benito and picks up 2kg on Foxalicious. Foxalicious was heavily supported first-up before dumping Paul Harvey in the prelim and doing a little extra cadio prior to the race. Wombie's Legacy looks a tad overs at 26s and could surprise a few here.
1. YOU WILL BE QUEEN - 6. NIGHTINGALE ROAD - 8. FOXALICIOUS
Michael Lane will be looking for revenge against Simon Miller who has beaten him home with Sujet and Vengabus so far this campaign and is gunning for a 3-0 scoreline with Longma here. Rusty Peaches gets in with a mere 53.5kg and drawn in barrier 6 he should be able to box seat and give this an almighty shake. Proceedwithcaution was impressive for owner-trainer Geoffrey Van De Molen and 1400m second-up looks ideal. Should be very hard to roll. Carry The Nation is the best of the offpace horses and will be rattling home late if the track permits. Longma steps up to 1400 for the first time in the West and has run a second placing over a mile at Eagle Farm.
3. RUSTY PEACHES - 2. PROCEEDWITHCAUTION - 7. CARRY THE NATION
SUGGESTED BET - 3. RUSTY PEACHES $10 x $20
Hopefully in race 5 Michael Lane's Rusty Peaches can hold out Willy Pike aboard Proceedwithcaution and then continue the form into race 6 where I am expecting the Michael Lane trained Cougar Nights to beat Pike aboard Bachelors Prospect. They look the obvious two on paper but I think Cougar Nights will be too good. He has always shown an abundance of ability and looks well weighted at 58.5 for Jerry Noske. Win in the Country Challenge was awesome and then found trouble throughout against He Or She. Bachelors Prospect ran a much improved race after a quick freshen up when charging home along the rails to finish second to Vengabus, a form reference which has already produced with Rusty Peaches, Wink and a Nod and Max Almighty. High Limit also comes from that race and looks the value runner of the field. Yet to win beyond 1200m but sure to be running on hard.
1. COUGAR NIGHTS - 2. BACHELORS PROSPECT (NZ) - 5. HIGH LIMIT
SUGGESTED BET - 1. COUGAR NIGHTS $60
This is a very even group of gallopers tackling the 1500m. Shalo will be looking to record a third straight start to finish victory and obviously if the first 6 leaders have kicked away then he is the one to back but I think there are a number of value options behind him. Low Tide ran third in the Mandurah Cup beating Bayatorio home by almost a length and picks up 4kg on him from that encounter, with Low Tide at $8 and Bayatorio at $7 I know which way I'd be going there. Wink and A Nod steps up to 1500m after two very impressive chasing performances, drawn wide but a more than capable mare. Rancho Man drops 5kg on his previous two runs and will relish the 1500m. Full Reign looked unlucky last start and can improve sharply third up for the Humphries yard at odds.
8. LOW TIDE - 9. WINK AND A NOD - 10. RANCHO MAN
They should charge along here with speedy Great Southern Galloper Fathoms of Gold locking horns with Dabang piloted by Aquinas youngster Jordan Turner. If the track is playing fairly and they do run this race at a genuine clip I think it makes Raindance Maggie a good option in the weekly Get Out Stakes. Her run in the Latrice was classy and although she must conceed Dabang 2kg from that run I think this could be run to suit. Already Famous has put together a string of consistent performances getting better and better every time, this looks a very winnable race. Dabang will keep trying and it will be interesting to see whether young Turner allows Fathoms of Gold to cross or whether he attempts to hold the fence. Goodluck to all in the Raceday Finals Series, except Chris and whoever plays me.
7. RAINDANCE MAGGIE - 5. ALREADY FAMOUS - 1. DABANG
