This is a challenge to get 5 games over the course of the week for NBA.


The strategy is that there will be 5 investments over a week with 100% investment of the balance.

Initial balance is $50.
Week 1 - $50 - The aim is to get to this balance after the week $1,599


The rules.

These will be single investments
The odds will be $1.90
The line will be no larger than -5 pts for full game.
The line will be no larger than -3 pts for first half.

The selections will be posted under this message.

    The Portland Blazer just beat Indian Pacers  131-109.
    Again this game has come at a great time for Portland and will get a solid game and dominate in the first half and finish the game off with a win.
    Portland has to maintain their defense to get this.
    Paul George will be back for Pacers.
    Both teams are 5-5 over the last 
    Portland this is the 4th game on the road where they are 1-2.
    This game is essential to win to maintain above 0.500 that they need to maintain.

    Portland v Indiana
    Q1 44 - 31 - Difference 
    Q2 71 - 64 - Difference 7
    Q3 98 - 90 - Difference 8 
    Q4 111- 118 - Difference -7

    There was continued pressure and came out in Q4 scoring the first 9 pts to take the lead 99-98 with 8:51 left in Q4.

    It may have been the first lead for Indiana after being down 58-38.  

    Portland then come back and score 7 points to get the game back to 105 - 99.

    A hard game for Indiana with injuries and their defense is not able to keep  hot shooters - Lillard & McCollum - scoring and drawing fouls.

    Back to 105 - 105 with  4:45 left to go.

    105 - 108 with Paul George scoring and take it to Portland.

    105 - 110 and Portland realise that they have to score and Lillard gets the chance for Free throws.

    109 - 110 1:45 left

    109 - 112 and Pacers have the ball and controlled the second half with slowing the game down.

    Paul George was the difference scoring 37 points.

    There was a point in the game where Portland had a breakaway and spun on a dunk
    Indiana called time out and that was the trigger that fired up the Pacers and the second half was an impressive defensive game.  

    With the final score 111 - 118

    This starts again.

    How did they manage to blow the lead!

    they were as short as $1.20 when I saw they were up by 12 in the 2nd and was considering diving in, thank god I didn't  ^:)^

    As I stated Hash there was a player that showed off with a dunk in open court in the second qtr and Indiana called a Time out  and came back on the court and managed the game in a different way and that was just a disaster for how a team can be up by points and lose in such a manner.

    Though Indiana when missing Paul George are terrible.

    This is another match for NY Knicks to get a win over the LA Lakers.

    NY Knicks should have Rose back from back spasm rest but that is not essential for them to win.
    It is all about passing and getting the 110 points to defeat the Lakers.
    Lakers still have Black, Young, Russell out with injuries.

    The averages for this match give a perspective that would have this being a -1 point spread.

    Knicks having gone 7-3 in the last ten compared to Lakers 2-8.

    This game tips off at 10:30 am (WA)

    As long as Knicks are within the rules I have set (The line will be no larger than -5 pts for full game.) this will be the selection.  (it is just not offered at 9:21pm Sunday night).

    The expectation that Knicks will be no worse than -2 line.

    the two games you've tipped on this thread so far are terrible betting propositions, no disrespect but when you punt on sh!t games you can expect a sh!t result

    Knicks v Lakers in comparison to the AFL would be like betting on Essendon v  Brisbane two absolute dud teams that have little to play for

    I know what you are getting at @hash though as it seems that it is a punters Club and that we are basically here to help each other win and be profitable for the season.

    The NBA is one sport that I am very profitable at so I am sharing the investments and have set myself the target to get 5 wins straight. 

    Yep the first $50 was a loss

    The second $50 has a streak of 1.

    NY Knicks winning 118-112.

    Also if I am to go with teams like Golden State that would be against the rules I stated I would follow as Golden State are rarely given a line of -5 for the full game.


    I will just continue on with the strategy and achieve the goal I have set myself.  There may not be a selection everyday as the teams just don't offer the value that is required.

    I wouldn't choose either New England Patriots or Baltimore for an outright win.

    New England have Gronk out and their statistics without are not that good.

    Baltimore have been so defensive and playing at the level of playoffs.


    When you look at NE for home games the last 6 years for home games with Tom Brady at QB.  That is less than 4 games.

    Miami is still just suiting up 8 possibly 9 for the game against Washington.  

    Washington are 6-4 last ten and combining to score 104 ppg.
    Miami are 3-7 last ten though with injuries are now lost the last 5 games.

    Miami played well the first half leading 

    Washington 53 - 59 Miami

    Washington were out to $4.00 at half time to win the game.

    Washington began with energy in Q3 and took the air out of Whiteside who was just exhausted by the end and Washington had gone on a 17-4 run and put the score at

    Washington 82 - 81 Miami

    Now Q4 has pressure with Miami going out to score the first 5 points.

    Washington 82 - 86 Miami

    Dragic controls the game while ON the court though with foul trouble Washington took advantage and having sat out 10 minutes of Q3 this has given Miami a player that is ready to play all of Q4 and fight hard.  
    Washington need to just get Wall and Beal back on the court as resting them was not allowing the points to continue and again Miami get the lead back with 9:22 left.

    Washington 88 - 92 Miami

    Three Tech fouls. 

    Washington 93 - 96 Miami

    Washington back out to $5.00 with 5:37 minutes left.
    Washington 95 - 102 Miami

    When Washington miss 5 shots with the score being 101 - 108 there was no chance to get the win and Miami dunk to put the game away 101 - 112 with 42 seconds left.

    I do hope you were following the game and did some arbitrage while at half time.

    Baltimore come out and NE make a mistake and Baltimore score  10 - 23 with a huge amount of time to go.  

    NE will manage the clock but expect another two touchdowns in the second half so that will blow the Under 45.5 points.

    Two turnovers resulting in two consecutive touchdowns means I am seriously jinxed, that was my first and last bet on the NFL this year!

    Next up... Is Portside looking to go back to back

    Blount did the job with 72 rushing yards.  :)


    New England did enough to win and that is all that is required for as NOW they have the #1 seed again through the playoffs with Oakland Raiders losing to Kansas City.

    There is consistency with the NFL for the playoff bound teams @hash and recommend that you continue to invest as you will profit.  The issue is working through the 100+ markets and identifying a market that is going to be achieved.  It also depends if you are able to arbitrage during the game as there are plenty of markets to adjust or continue to increase your profits.

    The Knicks are becoming a cohesive unit that allows multiple players to score points and working towards 4+ players getting 10+ ppg which is essential for scoring 100+ ppg.  When they visit the Suns there will be a urgency to score points and dominate the rebounds.  Great effort and Knicks will win.

    The Phoenix Suns are losing by 7ppg on average.
    The Phoenix Suns are 3-7 the last 10 games.
    The Knicks contain Bledsoe and this will restrict the scoring of the Phoenix Suns.

    Enjoy the game and the overall strategy is good though it is just going to require fine tuning to ensure that when the 5th game selection is up that it is one where it sends the strategy back to the beginning.

    I will be watching Memphis v Cleveland with the intent of looking at the opportunities when these two play again on Thursday in the unique back to back games which the NBA is phasing out.

    Cleveland are on a dominant streak to win again as Memphis has 9 players as there injuries have mounted up and Gasol is the latest player that requires rest.

    NY Knicks lose in Overtime.

    After being down by 12 and getting out to $4.50 they work their way back to being 6 points in front with 2:56 left on the clock and begin to miss shots.  

    D. Rose left the game with a sore back and NY Knicks took time to figure things out.  The problem is that there is still an issue to how to score down the stretch in close games.  Melo missed enough and there is not enough fire power to get these games closed out early.

    Marc Gasol will be back for Memphis and provide a better passing game.  This is not going to be any better for Memphis as the game was coasting for Cleveland in the first match up.  No injuries from it and it is just a fast pace that will go today.

    Going for the HT/FT for the game has exceptional value at $5.00

    Well it really doesn't help watching the first of back to back games as Cleveland have rested Lebron James, Kyrie Irving and Kevin Love.

    This has just become a DONATION.

    The game is second rated and is now enforcing the NBA to consider the Players Agreement to erase the back to back games.

    Houston will come out shooting 3s and pressure will be on Phoenix to score but they will not keep up.

    Houston may go for the record 3 pts again knowing that this defense is poor.
