What weight would Zaaki get if this was a handicap ?

Outstanding Trainer and arguably a Jockey at the top of his profession.

For a Gr 1, he is gifted into this race and if he is anywhere near his recent form, he will win by an embarrassing margin.

9yo and last start was beaten by Young Werther (rated 10 points below him) and finished a head in front of Buckaroo (rated 9 points below him) at level weights.

Deserved fav and I'm a fan but he isn't what he used to be Zaaki, pretty doubtful he gaps them.

WHY is Trix Of The Trade $19 (@ Sportsbet he is longer, $21)i ponder ... he should be a great chance of at least running a drum *if Tubs stays off the fence.

It is good that Zaaki is here, at least it might help the eastern states tune in.

Would it be worth running the race earlier, say race 6 ( 6.30pm vic, nsw time) pretty much straight after eastern state races finish?

This would have to help turnover but is it worth it?

Hi Abby, Anything that increases turn over and publicity is worth it....

Maybe Perth racing should try for a season to tail end eastern states racing. Cause once eastern states races finish I reckon at least 3/4 of tab patrons leave.. well maybe not pubtabs..
Saturday morning from 10am to 3pm they busiest then drops away. Maybe people put bets on n leave or they bet online but definitely a lot of have done there cash by 5 o clock in arvo comes around.

I'm not sure, buy I'd be guessing the % of punters who bet online would be panels ahead of those who bet at a pubtab or similar venue.

Backed Dom to Shoot &Trix off Trade----. Who's  railway runs were full of merit.,especially D.T, S. who ran the fastest last 600m in Railway second -up from spell .  Thought  J. Turner was very stiff to lose the ride. Then drew barrier 1  in Northerly                                                                                   Marocchino  made  It  a trouble free race the 1800m start  can be conducive to severe interference when they come up for air .after 300m-500m. Esp, in 1.5mil. race   last year four horses    suffered abrasion's.                                                                                                                                           Well done Sean and his team who's been  also  a  big contributor to outback racing with horse numbers for  survival  of these clubs  Leinster Laverton Leonora etc.

MacDonald copped a $2500 fine for use of whip, Noske a $1500 fine for one extra swipe with whip.

JMac seriously overdid it, and consecutively.
    - If JMac won, he probably gets a huge fine and the connections of Dom would forever feel robbed.
    - Because Noske won, he gets fined 1500 for ONE additional strike.
Strange determination of those penalties imo

Either f..k the rule off or start protesting against offenders and upholding it. You would be filth if your jock stayed within the rule and being beaten by someone who didn’t

have a look at the replays from the 80's..no whip rules then. no harm to the horses...

i just watched the 14 min replay of the northerly and subsequent interviews with the father and son caseys, the jock and his dad. not one of them mentioned jordan turner which i think was a bloody cruel oversight. the guy rode a great race in the railway lets hope wally daly gives him some sort of financial reward..cash of course.

Falc. That was interesting oversight just think Sean was overcome with the win. Jordan rode D.T.S. in the aborted 2023 perth cup .when they fell---- think he was out of saddle for approx two months Wally' will dook him a outdate cabbage

Tippin Nosk will be lucky to get a sling, let alone the young lad that didn't get the ride.

     wally got short arms?

it wasn't only sean, stg, jake and jarrod ignored young jordan..not a good look at all. no way can we blame it on the excitement of the moment.
