It tried to jump the running rail and landed on it, regardless of it being plastic. If my money was on it would be a no brainer...'SCRATCH'. I would have thought it was a common sense decision that wouldn't have even needed a vet.

Deepest sympathies and condolences to the family, friends and all those who knew Geoff. To me and most others I'm sure he will be remembered as 'Darrah'. A great contributor to this website and racing in general. May he fly with the angels. RIP.

PP sat 3 wide, no cover, the trip. That is fact. Besides that I have no problem with any other parts of the ride. I took the $4.40 so it certainly did hurt. Obviously the winner had a much softer run.
