200 stables come down to a Top 10

We started with 200, now we have a top 10. Tomorrow we find out who will be playing in the last week of the inaugural Starting 5 competition.

It's taken strategy, tipping, skill and bold decisions to be in the final 10 but now all that matters is the 9 races at Ascot.

The surviving stables comprise of:

• Ony
• Cookiemonster
• yougoodthing
• bsherwood
• Sweet K
• ICE
• Emmap

$275,000 is the allowance for the Colonel Reeves Stakes, and should the one-horse affair not produce any surprises, it will make the other selections for stables of utmost importance.

The final 5 will play off this Saturday for $500 cash, with a further $300 available to the placegetters in PUNTA Bookmaking betting voucher.s
