Carbery Suspended
On inquiry Jockey P. Carbery (TRIPLE KEN) pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding under ARR.137(a) for permitting his mount to shift inwards near the 1100m pressuring REAL HONOUR (J. Valas) inwards causing BORN TO BE BAD (D. Staeck) to be tightened for room and restrained. Jockey P. Carbery was subsequently suspended from riding in races for a period of 10 days to commence from midnight 6 July 2011 and to expire at midnight 16 July 2011. When assessing penalty Stewards factored in Jockey Carbery's excellent race riding record.

Isnt the point based NR system with its barrier draw conditions a handicapping system? I mean highest rated horses drawing worse off seems like a handicap

I dont think it matters when they run,,Crowds and turnover is something in the past.. I dont have the answer. I watch at home and punt. Last time I went to G.P would have been 12 months ago to catch up with fellow trotting people..before I went to the Inters.....
