Final Four in UTC news

Final Four in UTC

| Sun 10 July, 2011

Only four matches took place in the Ultimate Tipping Championship this week and the overall scores showed that we had eight of the best tipsters still in the competition.

Our last standing media tipster Greg Hooper finally lowered his colours to competition leader Matty H, who has been a formidable opponent right throughout the competition. Hoops and Matty H were neck and neck for most of the day, with the latter pulling through late to tip Hoops out 21 to 16.

Torpedo Punt was the most convincing winner of the day, accounting for Thumper 17-11 while Kells knocked out overall lowest ranked tipster, Punta.

The line ball decision of the day went to Keymeup, beating Phillips101 by the solitary point.

So our final four are Matty H, Torpedo Punt, Keymeup and Kells.

Make sure you keep Saturday July 23rd free for the final of UTC, to be held in the Sportsmans Bar at Belmont Park (right near the bookies ring). Perth Racing and Perth Turf Talk will host the day which will include free entry, free racebook, finger food and a unique tipping competition.

Anyone who entered UTC is eligible and bring your mates.

The final of UTC will be held live at Belmont Park, assuming both our finalists can attend.

Isnt the point based NR system with its barrier draw conditions a handicapping system? I mean highest rated horses drawing worse off seems like a handicap
