Kells wins UTC 01

Perth Turf Talk | Metropolitan Racing | Mon 25 July, 2011

KELLS won the competition, the overall ladder and the final round of UTC to reign as Perth's top tipster.

With a stunning 31pts in the Grand Final he had the $1000 prize all sewn up by Race 6.

Keymeup was bold in defeat and watched the board anxiously at the grand final function room, however in the end found himself with too much ground to make up.

KELLS was knocked out during the UTC but benefited from a wildcard after winning the week in Round 6.

Overall the the grand final function was a great meet and greet for forum members and over 50 users took part in the on-course competition. With KELLS unable to attend the event RIO took the weekly honours narrowly beating Phil Pense.

Many thanks to all who attended the final and participated in the UTC. The competition will be back bigger and better in the near future.

Isnt the point based NR system with its barrier draw conditions a handicapping system? I mean highest rated horses drawing worse off seems like a handicap

All horses are scanned at the track.  Before they are even saddled up.
