UTC Wrap Up - Week 3

| Mon 17 October, 2011

Some outstanding tipping again this week with Danoz topping the table this week with 31 points. He takes out this week's $50 voucher, to be doubled if he has an active TAB account.

From the loser's round, Alpine 11 takes the prize despite being well off the pace on the leaderboard. Some consolation for an excellent week of tipping.

There were two drawn matches this week between Chuck and Spook74 and Jeanne and Gumby. The latter match was epic, finishing up 29 all with five winners each. It's tough to send someone home after such good tipping, but Gumby takes the points decision by virtue of his tip on Jappaloop which paid $7.20 on the tote, as opposed to Jeanne's Moonlight Bay ($4.90).

The winner of the other match was Chuck, who tipped one more winner than Spook74.

Six wild cards have been awarded this week to the following:

Rodent, Golos, Nevershowsurprise, Jay Kay, Jeanne and Legless.

Luckily, Jeanne's overall score was high enough to ensure a wild card this week.

Approximately only half of our weekly winners have had active TAB accounts. This means their weekly prize was only $50 instead of $100.

The doubling of prizemoney also applies to the major prize of $1000. Whichever way you look at it, the tote should be an important tool in your punting arsenal, so get yourself a TAB account now and double your prizemoney!

My thoughts...Logistically, a trainer getting to the races for a 9am start would be extremely difficult to achieve on a routine basis when travel time & having to be clocked in on course 1 hour before their race at 9am, is taken into consideration. Not to ...

I've just heard that Kristy has got a flight home (Medivac) on Sunday. Her rehab will be long and agonising so as a passionate racing person myself I ask everyone to hope/pray for the best possible outcome for Kristy and the rest of her family
