UTC Final is here! news

UTC Final is here!

Perth Turf Talk | Mon 28 November, 2011

In a couple of comfortable matches on Satuday, Golos (George Thiveos), former outright competition leader, took care of last week's wild card entry Chuck with a 22 - 17 result.

The dark horse, Plastered (aka Mark Millington), took out one of our heavyweights, Jay Rooney in a 27 -22 result. Rooney returned some respectability to the match late in the piece, but Millington had well and truly shown him a clean pair of heels a long way from home.

So we head to the UTC2 final next week in a massive showdown between Mark Millington (Plastered) and George Thiveos (Golos).

The competition really has rewarded consistently top tipping with Millington finishing fourth on the overall leader board on 193 and Thiveos finishing second behind Rooney on 200.

This week's top tipster still remaining in the competition was obviously Plastered with 27 points.

Top knocked out tipster was TheCracker. Betting vouchers from the WA TAB are on the way!

Well done to everyone who tipped in the competition and dont forget to tip next week for your last chance to win $100!

My thoughts...Logistically, a trainer getting to the races for a 9am start would be extremely difficult to achieve on a routine basis when travel time & having to be clocked in on course 1 hour before their race at 9am, is taken into consideration. Not to ...

I've just heard that Kristy has got a flight home (Medivac) on Sunday. Her rehab will be long and agonising so as a passionate racing person myself I ask everyone to hope/pray for the best possible outcome for Kristy and the rest of her family
