Eastern States hoops to raid the Kalgoorlie round
The Kalgoorlie Boulder Racing Club is proud to announce that they have secured the services of four prominent Eastern States Jockeys to ride at the three days of their annual Round in September.
Prominent Queensland jockey Shane Scriven will join forces with leading South Australian rider Joe Bowditch, outstanding Victorian apprentice Jake Noonan & gun NSW apprentice John Kissick in taking rides on September 16, 19 & 22nd.
Shane Scriven is in constant demand as a high weight rider in his home state where he has ridden over 370 winners (3 Group 1's) and will prove a valuable asset to trainers at the Round.
Shane is a very experienced rider, best known recently as the rider of the star WA galloper Scenic Shot & partnered him in all of his major successes during his Qld campaigns. Shane is available to take rides at 56.5kg.
Joe Bowditch has re established himself as a leading rider in SA after a successful stint in Queensland. Joe's experience & ability sees him in constant demand from all of the leading SA stables.
Bowditch has also ridden over 630 career winners (3 Group 1's)& is renowned for his strength in a tight finish. Joe is available to take rides at 54kg.
Crack Victorian apprentice Jake Noonan has been somewhat of a sensation during his short time in the saddle. Jake has ridden over 200 career winners with over 50 wins in the last 12 months.
Included in his recent wins was success in the coverted Apprentices cup in Melbourne. Jake is highly sought after in Victoria & has also ridden successfully in Perth on previous visits west. Jake is available for rides at 53kg.
Sensational Wagga Wagga based apprentice John Kissick has had 80 victories on NSW tracks in the last 12 months & a total approaching the 100 career victories.
This tally puts him in the top 10 for all NSW riders for this season so far!
John has focused on perfecting his craft predominantly on country tracks before venturing to Sydney next year to finish his apprenticeship.
He is highly regarded by many experienced racing people & widely tipped to be the next big thing in NSW racing.
John should prove a valuable asset to trainers during his stay.
John rides comfortably at 52kg.
This is a great opportunity for Trainers to secure top line riders for not only the major races, but also minor races during the Round.
By enquiring NOW, it prevents any worries when it gets closer to Round time.
Trainers interested in securing the services of these top riders are requested to register their interest by contacting the KBRC office on 9021 2303 or KBRC's Vice Chairman - Colin Earle on 0467 721 492
Shane Scriven is available for mounts at the Perth meetings on Saturday 15th September & Sunday 23rd September.

I've just heard that Kristy has got a flight home (Medivac) on Sunday. Her rehab will be long and agonising so as a passionate racing person myself I ask everyone to hope/pray for the best possible outcome for Kristy and the rest of her family
