Belmont 1st September - The Weapon
A horse that was touted to have early ability has just not come on since his early, narrow victory, over a handy bunch of three year olds.
Durrant had expected The Weapon to be a top class staying type, but after Saturday's pitiful performance, the leading trainer has labeled him "slow" and "destined for pony club or the jumps".
I doubt we'll be seeing the former $140,000 yearling by More Than Ready, on WA tracks any time soon?

You can probably add Venetian Prince after the next race in Perth. That might be the spur it needs to win.
