I think $38M will go a long way to fixing some of the tired parts of the Belmont grandstand. But it also has to fund projects at Ascot. In all of this, I haven't heard much in the way of intent for addressing some of the issues surrounding training facilities ...

I just want to know how they will renovate the grandstand as it is on life support it is full of concrete cancer so it would interesting to see any building inspectors reports on how they intend to rectify it they would need all of $38m to achieve a decent res...

by the way 38 million is chicken feed , ranwick are spending 150 million just for mainly a grandstand , sorry should have taken the govt offer :(

We are missing the point , TRACKS are important and quality of tracks is massive , we are the only state turning our backs on fixing the tracks itself , which then promotes better racing and attracting better horses from interstate .

now approvals are through, the fact the deposit was used to reduce debt becomes irrelevant does it not? the gamble paid off and the debt is gone.

Have to credit for Carlosa for identifying that the corner appears turned. Only disclaimer on that is re debt - was reduced via deposit on the land, but then again that's the point.

In business the best thing you can do is to reduce your debt to a manageable level. I agree that has been done and how it is done is not that important. Selling assets, etc is what we all do to manage our debt. They are there now and the test will be to ens...
