Damien Oliver to resume next season
Racing Victoria has cleared jockey Damien Oliver to resume his career after licensing him to ride in the 2013/14 season on Thursday.
The RAD Board disqualified Oliver for eight months in November after the rider admitted betting against a horse he was riding in a race at Moonee Valley in 2010.
The Racing Victoria board approved Oliver's reinstatement, completing a process most viewed as a formality, with the jockey able to ride trackwork from July 13.
Oliver must serve a final two-month suspension before he returns to race riding in September.
