He's Remarkable for sale

Perth Turf Talk | Breeding | Thu 25 April, 2013

He's Remarkable (NZ) has been retired and is for sale as a stallion prospect.

The Kiwi bred galloper won 6 of his 22 starts up to Group 3 level in the Newcastle Newmarket (1400m) but he will always be remembered for losing the 2011 Group 1 Railway Stakes on protest at Ascot.

It was the most controversial decision in a Perth feature race since La Trice was demoted in favour of Kilrickle in the 1970 Railway Stakes. His connections appealed the decision but to no avail.

He's Remarkable was also placed at Group 1 level to Jimmy Choux in the NZ 2000 Guineas and to She'z Sinsational in the NZ Spring Classic. "He was one of the most talented gallopers I have ever trained in my 30 year career," Roger James said. "Not only is he beautifully conformed and 100% correct, he had a great turn of foot and was a genuine Group 1 horse."

He's Remarkable (5h Pentire - Axiom by Zabeel) cost $360,000 from Rich Hill Stud at the 2009 NZB Karaka Premier Sale. His sire Pentire has been represented by 37 stakes winners including the G1 winners (King) Mufhasa, Rangirangdoo and Xcellent.

His dam Axiom is a daughter of G2 Villiers Stakes winner Arletty and the family includes G1 winners Legs and Guyno.

He's Remarkable is a superb young stallion with strong credentials.

There are far worse horses you could send a mare to for just $4000. Yes the Hitler video is still a classic.

I managed to sneak a quick read of that last paragraph... sounds like Mr B was not the only person to get what he needed to off..... Having said that, the person in question has no use for it now anyway, does he!

which actually brings me to an interesting topic. when you are trying to figure the winners, it needs to be thought of as not this horse in this race. but an independent horse with an independent jockey sitting up top and one is more important than the ot...
