Oliver banned for slowing the pace
Damien Oliver will miss 11 meetings and some Key rides in the Turnbull and Edward Mainfold Stakes.
Oliver drove forward on Elite Elle, only to grab hold and slow the pace excessively when he realised he couldnt lead. This caused severe interference back in the field.
Oliver argued that his restraining was not abnormal and that to press on would have been detrimental to his mount's chances.
