Peggie's outstanding
William Pike was glowing in his review of the effort of Peggie's Dream (Ihtiram - Peggie's Bid) on Saturday, smashing her rivals by 3 1/2 lengths in 58.36 seconds, a fast time for the day.
Both Watkins and Pike commented that she seemed to be getting better each run, this after she was clearly nursed at her first run this campaign after a long spell. While she did it easily that day, Pike eased her right down with the margin just 3/4 lengths over Cool Corona. That horse had since come out and trounced her rivals in a midweek race.
At her next start, Peggie's Dream dominated the heavily supported Geiger Rio and leaving Thunderluv'n in their wake. The time was a blistering 57.48 seconds for the 1000m.
Watkins is undecided as to the future of Peggie's Dream, but if she remains problem free, she is undoubtedly a summer carvival type horse.
We may see her once more this campaign before a spell.

Ahh yes. In Carbery's defence, it was absolutely flying at the time and I gave it a massive chance. Norton certainly had more upside though
