Taylor not concerned by Waratah's trial

Matt Rigby | Metropolitan Racing | Tue 31 July, 2012

Jim Taylor didnt seem concerned by the 5 length defeat of Waratah's Secret in his first trial since failing in the Newmarket Handicap last spring. Waratah's underwent throat surgery after that run and Taylor says he has come back much better.

Jason Brown didnt test Waratah's Secret in the run home, however you would expect the winner of $656k in stakes to have finished closer than five lengths adrift nonetheless.

Taylor said he would be aimed at the Goodwood Sprint on August 25.

Wasn't there a mixup with brands where Trainers had the wrong yearlings I think with the XX5 brands around a decade ago? Two yearlings from the same original Stud or somethingEventually the wrong horse will end up going on the float yet a simple scan can stop ...
