Tempestuous Strike returns news

Tempestuous Strike returns

Matt Rigby | Metropolitan Racing | Tue 31 July, 2012

Tempestuous Strike, the winner of his only run at Ascot last season and beating the subsequent Karrakatta Plate and Sires Produce winner Luke's Luck, returns to racing in Wenesday's 1000m 3yo Handicap.

The Husson Lightning gelding performed well at trials, pulling his way around Belmont Park to account for his opposition under a strangle hold.

Damian Winn takes over the training from caretaker Trevor Andrews, who prepared the gelding for his debut win. Form from the race has also since been franked by Saturday metro winner Songburg, who finished 8th and Buhn Lert, who won his next start in town.
