Travinator has the class news

Travinator has the class

Matt Rigby | Metropolitan Racing | Thu 4 October, 2012

Four year old Mosayter gelding, Travinator, steps into the 74+ Corestaff Handicap (1000m) on Saturday after trouncing subsequent midweek winner Geiger Rio, at their last meeting.

Owned by prominent forum member Colin Pearce, Travinator steps up appreciably in class this week but should handle the rise with ease and has been installed at the unbackable odds of $1.35.

His main opposition look to be The Entourage, a 90 rater and Noname City, rated 88. They will have to give the speedy Travinator substantial weight advantage and look to be hard pressed to hold out the up and comer.

Travinator showed he retruned in outstanding fashion, leading and beating Geiger Rio by three lengths in a time substantially quicker than Excelorada, whom also won on the same day.

The gelding looks to be one of Daniel Pearce's stable stars, alongside three year old Keeper Quiet.

Not sure if I agree with the comments about Barakey never looking that impressive . . . the Northam Sprint win??? Blacksmith was beaten almost 10 in that. Cavallo Pazzo strung em together straight afterwards. Barakey for me still.

will dream about them scaring the east coast horses from coming across first..be interesting to see how many of those that are looking at coming over for an easy kill, are now looking elsewhere???

only decision you could make, wilson. i know you were not swayed by all the "have a go ya mug" comments but took the plunge on facts and that the horse pulled up "a treat". a couple of exciting weeks for you and your boys.
