More than a Moon Rock?

Selections

On Saturday we will see whether or not Astonomite is merely a moon rock because from barrier 3 with W.Pike back in the saddle he will have no excuse what so ever fourth up from a spell. I am looking away from him and tipping York maiden winner turned favourite punters nightmare Macavity. Never better than 3 and 4 wide the trip at Northam after effortlessly breaking his maiden at his first WA start Macavity drops to 54kg and acquires the services of Tim Clark. If he can roll forwards and take up a prominent position he will go very close. Sigil was excellent first-up behind Candelight Star who has run well subsequently when beating home Astronomite with ease so I expect the form to stack up well and Sigil always looked as though 1500m would be his pet distance. Astronomite has been bitterly disappointing this preparation but no doubt there will be support for Pike in the cerise and white.

Rock Magic was the run of the race for mine, especially since he wasn't at 100%. Him and Noske just keep putting in race after race, great viewing. this must be what your refering to..."A Veterinary examination was conducted on Friday, 25 November by the RW...

Not one horse from the first six in running broke 35sec for the last 600m but those coming from the back did. The first two didn't stop but those that did caused traffic issues for the swoopers and that is the price you pay for getting back. Yes any of the clo...

ridden better (i.e - given some small glimmer of hope at least) and it figures in the finish IMHO.Maybe there is excuses :-?? , however it had no real chance of winning from where he parked it.Horse got home quicker than anything else

Perhaps I'm wrong, but I tend to think that running State Solicitor in the Gr 1 was 12 months too early. In doing so, I hope that Bob Peters hasn't flattened him to the point where he just makes up numbers in high quality fields in the next couple of years.

Didn't help any of FAE, Rock Magic or State Solicitor having to get around Bob's 2 100/1 pops who were just clogging up the field. Bob might have harmed his own chances on this occasion. Thinking exactly the same when watching the replays. Maybe they got all...

Agree. The 3 locals finishing on were all big. To me the race seemed much like the Railway - the visiting jocks going forward and controlling it - the local riders never really in it. The last 2 weeks have really shown up the gap between the ES and overseas r...
