Greetings all! The annual invasion of the Magpie is upon us again. As we the one eyed, the single digit IQ'd, the toothless and the criminal venture across for a rare interstate Collingwood match. Again we have planned to head to the racetrack thrice. Belmont, Northam, Belmont.
Before we hire the car for the Northam leg, is there a possibility that meeting may not go ahead? How many bookies operate out there, the last time(13/5/10) I think there were only 2. Also any local advice which may or may not include tips would be great, don't let the quarter final appearance in UTC fool you, I need all the help I can get.
Let the Quaddie gods shine! Is a 10 goal win, 3 quaddies and a nice local lass or three too much to ask??

Would be some chance Northam won't go ahead, storm front came through last night and depends on how much rain we get over next few days. Unfortunately probably more chance than Freo have of beating your mob :(

northam were having a problem with a particular section of the track.
the work they did last week (or the week before I think) actually dug up that section of the track and found a blocked drain. This was causing that section to flood and become muddy.

Now that has been fixed and the rail is out to avoid the section (ie max 10 runners), I cant see any reason why the meeting would be cancelled barring massive rain that would cause it to be cancelled in any case.

Good to hear! 6 less horses in every race to look at then, bonus. Apart from tomorrow the forecast looks ok. We had 35% of 3 horses going into the final leg of the quad last time we were at the track. Still haven't forgiven Ben Kennedy for sitting Don't Doubt Buster(35% of 22K!!) 3 wide. Although the horse that beat it, http://www.rwwa.com.au/cris/raceresults.aspx?meeting=14613&race=9 on reflection probably deserved its place.
