Absolutely. Just for the record don't think Kermadec can win but no way would let it run against me if was on Winx. If can't make a profit betting on a race where stablemates are in it , just leave it alone. Nothing worse than being on for example a Snowden or Weir horse and the longer priced stablemate gets home. These types of blokes are amazingly good trainers and never underestimate them with favoured runners or longer priced stablemates.

there has to be more to this than what has come out...would there be any chance that Prior, Callender or Schofield might have secret ownership shares with the HK owners???

ive tried to find vision of that trial on the 14th october... but cant find it.
would be interesting to see in what fashion it won?

I went to NSW racing and typed in Lucky Year. It will allow you to watch the first trial when 10/10.

But seems they have pulled the other trials. In its first trial over 900, it came of the bridle on cornering but in the straight went ok without being urged. And it was its first trial only over 900.

A few others in that trial were definitely urged along (shooting to win). Agree Diva would love too see the 14th Oct trial.   Maybe stewards in NSW are looking out for someone by pulling this from there website.

Haha their problem was that the horse started to win. If it had done nothing over there no questions would have been asked.

RC, what a grub. Should be banned indefinitely and investigated properly. Just smells of a bad punter finding a way out.

We have received a final offer of $140,000 which includes a commission
payment of $2,500 to the agent. This leaves $137,500 to the owners which
I believe is a fair and reasonable offer.
The initial offer was $130,000 but we were able to negotiate to a
slightly higher price on your behalf. I believe the group has already
agreed to this amount and we have accepted the offer on this premise so
once the money is received we will notify you for payment.

Danny Shum advises Glyn Schofield that he has transferred the sum of AUD$210,000 into his bank account.

Unfknbelievable!! They even spin a yarn saying they were offered less but negotiated a better deal

    pretty average

this is nearly as bad as the edwards case over here, but the penalty is very mild... Just got to hope that no-one throws money their way in the future............It always amazes me that they can survive in this industry after being found guilty of these sort of charges

Unfortunately the racing industry has plenty of history in being quick to forgive and forget and allow many crooks to continue on regardless.

not exactly what you were after but only won the oct trial by 1/2 a length so wouldnt say it was ultra impressive

Seriously, how the f*ck does the fat man only get 6 months. Missing a zero.

Maybe the enquiry should be into the stewards who handed down this rubbish.

Really hope the cops go them for fraud, going by that email it would be open/shut.

I cant see how waller can get away with this scott free riding off into the sunset on his pony. The horse was in his care. He should be all over it, or at least know something about what was going on. No duty of care for the owners shown.

Very Similar too Moody and the Cobalt.
X_X   I know nothing because my Stable is too big.

But Mr Steward, I have systems in place and they let me down. And, Mr Steward you can't touch me because my stable is too big.

What I can't understand is why they havnt asked about any other transactions that would of been done in the past? That's right it was only a one off.

you would have to think even if the Stipes are not having a look, the owners of any previous horses sold by these crooks certainly would be.

More so than just being **** off, the practice some Trainers have when they ask you to sign a training agreement, is that if we make this yearling a star, we want a piece of the action when you sell it.

In the case of Stallion prospects, this is a lot of money. I understand it happens in WA with one leading Trainer on all sales where he is still racing the horse when it is moved on.

I think the point there Damo is you know what you are up for. Either sign the agreement or find another trainer if you do not like the terms being offered.

If all conditions are known upfront there is no problem but in the Stanley and Callender cases the relevant people were simply being dishonest.

Saw it @Hash. A case of simply back both. Eg. 200 on the fave...120 on the stablemate..when stablemate wins everybody happy. Or don't bet on the race. Anybody who is a win only punter should never let a stablemate run against you.

I'd back the stable mate for more and have a saver on the fav so if it did win you'd break even and if the stable mate (paying more) won you'd clean up

with waller sometimes having 4 to 6 in the same race...???

just leave the race alone, eh? parnham and miller can have multiple runners as does weir, hayes etc etc

Everyone was so certain Waller would win with one of his that they forgot about the Williams clan's affinity with the Sydney/Melbourne Cups. We all know it but the winner still started at $11  L-)

    Good point Kramer
The only race Lloyd ever wants to win every year no doubt is the Melb cup, that said the Sydney cup over the same trip would apply
