his nemesis, neil monelli is in it from box 2, paddy is in box 4 with box 3 vacant.

Just watched the replay for the first time and in all seriousness falc, now you know what the owners of Winx feel like when she goes around! It’s just a matter of staying on all 4 feet and running to the winning post...

I think it is very close to it falc. All depends on his time compared to other runs. I just checked, to be 0.6 slower than his last run over the same distance is probably why you are questioning whether to go or not.

Each to their own mate, but in that circumstance i'd generally let the trainer make the decision, as they have a feeling for how much more the dog can give...Good luck whatever you decide.

Nice to be able to talk about winning animals for the PTT battlers ;-)

Congratulations to the both of you. As you said Rio good to see a couple ptt members having a win going forward good luck to all connections. I know nothing about dogs and this is only a observation but back on fourteenth of January Falc you thought it may of been time for him to have a break, obviously if you are looking at going east again that is not the case. As I said I have no knowledge on how a dog is trained how long do they stand up for generally and how long do they spell for

Good onya OHendo......need to catch up for a frothy one day to reduce the size of that damn wallet!!! haha. He is sensational. $1 on him 4 races back and continually rolled into him would have turned into about $4k last night!!!

Falc and i are both really new to this too Spink...But my trainer has said once they are up and running you don't spell them at all. They pick up little niggles and minor injuries along the way and have a week or two to get over them, and that is their spell. So a 2 week injury may mean 4 weeks away fro the track while it recovers and then trains up again...

But realistically if your dog is sound they can race from 18 months old to 3 years old, every week. Falcons is a superstar, so they will spell it a bit more often to allow it time to prep for certain series and races, but for the normal ones, its get going, and keep going.....

PTTers, he is in  tomorrow night at 5.37pm our time , the meadows, the invitation only gr1 zoom top.

naturally very good dogs engaged..ie Fanta Bale, who he is boarding with. he has box 1 so fingers crossed.

Thought was a winning chance near the corner when looking for a run, seemed to be accelerating, the gap needed didn't quite come but still battled away ok.

Those first two dogs are outstanding, he's right up there with them.

Ronny Hawskwell was kind calling him a clear third...think the red and pink mixed him up a little, also it looked like Quick Jagger was going to finish hard up on the rail but when run didn't eventuate had to switch to the outside and the pink rug stayed glued to the inside.

For a fleeting moment near the corner thought it was going to be like the Sale Cup and was going to grab Fanta Bale again. Sale Cup 650 metres was the perfect distance. Two out of two at the 650 and timed his run in the Cup to perfection.

paddy goes around in the gr1 stayers final at the meadows tonight at 5.18pm our time....its worth 100k to the winner!!

has the dreaded box 5...Fanta bale and rippin' sam will probably quinella it..but u gotta be in it to win it.

ironically he is boarding with those 2 dogs..maybe they'll get together and put it on for their new mate, paddy...
