I reckon if you see a ride on a favourite where the jockey shows "zero" initiative then you should be cut some slack in airing your disappointment.
Yes I said favourite because with that comes with the added responsibility of having most people's money on it.
If the boy is lacking confidence and won't take gaps, why is he on it ? Especially when he is carrying the hopes of most punters.
Gee wiz in the space of 24 hours the jockey found his mojo and vigorously rode one thru a gap to win race seven at Pinjarra.
It's easy to say for those that backed the favourite are bleating about the ride, as it is easy for those that didn't back it to say suck it up. The kid is apparently lacking confidence yet 24 hours later he is on top of the world riding winners :-?

Fingers crossed for race 3 @ Belmont.  I've taken early odds, and am concerned about the drift.  Back marker horse as well......    [EDIT wow, did't that come in late!]
