One of the most popular Railway Stakes winner ever - Mr Colin Webster

West Australian Racing
What a great result for such a wonderful man (and his wife and Troy). Mr Webster is one of the truly great men of WA racing - and is happy to talk to anyone. So happy for him! And what a great result for WA trainers and owners - we keep all the prize money in WA.

Congratulations MrWebster Col junior and Jagsey . I reckon Mr Webster be training for the best part of 60 years and yesterday would have been his finest day.. Colin junior as stepped right up since senior’s health hasn’t been the best of late so congratulations to him to they must be proud. If only Billy run a place would have been a huge 4 leg multi

At least yesterday might have dented the disappointment of the week before

Was a great day. I tipped the winner to my mates and wives who are non racegoers. Pumped with the win, they were even more pumped when they saw Mr Webster being interviewed, they couldnt believe someone being mid 80’s and still training horses. It was a good news story.

Racing should be celebrated for the fact men and woman, young and old all compete on a level playing field.

Not many aspects of life you can truly reach the pinicle at any stage of your life, outside of maybe the US presidency

Had a bit of a chuckle to myself when I read in yesterday s paper . Mr Webster called TRixs of the trade owner old Bill. You know you must be old when a bloke that’s 82 calls you old

Very fitting result on Saturday for the Webster clan. It was a super result as only a week earlier a rival trainer cheered when Baby Paris was scratched. Karma works in beautiful ways.

A welcome change from the whitewash we’ve been used to over the past few years
