Belmont Guineas Day Saturday
West Australian Racing
Doesn't feel a Saturday with neither Willy Pike or Chris Parnham riding, but has certainly given an opportunity for other hoops to step up. The Guineas is a very good field over the mile with the maximum of 16 runners going to the post.
First thoughts were the favourite Hot And High was way too short at around $2.50 and now she's come right into $2.10 so what do i know, very little!
The best "value" in the race think are Westbound, Prince Dala and Ladies Pro. The horse really like though has been the very unlucky Like Clockwork.
To complete what's a wide open race outside of the favourite throwing a bomb in too - Peaceful Ruler. Try to get one of these bombs up in the next 20 years.
It's a race of the favourite versus the rest and I'm just leaning to the rest. The early money though from 6/4 into 10/9 for Hot And High says otherwise.
Good luck everyone.

The ones mentioned before the race -
Prince Of Dala 2nd - he's a quirky character, set sail for home and swishing the tail only nabbed right on the line in the tightest of photos. The mid week win when backed off the boards was impressive and certainly was up to them today.
Like Clockwork 4th - no luck again for the filly, had a bit to offer would've definitely finished top 3 if the gaps appeared.
Ladies Pro 5th - she was very good, ran on well down the outside.
Westbound 7th - raced a little bit wide but still thought a bit disappointing up the straight, easily shoved out of the way by the winner.
Peaceful Ruler 16th - yes the bomb ran very well 8-X
