Trade Week AFL
Sport
THE WESTERN Bulldogs and the Sydney Swans appear to have struck the first deal of AFL trade week, with Andrejs Everitt and Patrick Veszpremi to swap clubs.
The Bulldogs also seem likely to receive a fourth-round selection.
The deal was all but sealed when Everitt's manager Ricky Nixon and Bulldogs general manager of football operations James Fantasia went over the finer details on afl.com.au's Trade Week Radio.
While the paperwork is yet to be lodged with the AFL, Everitt - who has spoken to Nixon from Hong Kong - would join the Swans on a multi-year deal.
Veszpremi, originally from Melbourne, will return to his home state after three years at the Swans.

Sydney also making a big play for Sherman for pick 21 which would be a good get for them.
Vez is a strange cat, wouldn't be surprised if he never played a game for bulldogs.
If Swans get Sherman they will have done a huge job rebuilding their on ball squad.
Dockers should take a punt on John Anthony think they could convert him into a good defender next year.
A very good kick at goals
Freo gave him a new lease of life and now he is worth something he wants to return home to Vic.
That is all fine, but to nominate Pies and only speak to them is *** and gives Freo no leverage in the deal.
If he wants to go home he should be happy to go anywhere, he won't even talk to Hawks, Carlton etc.
You guys gonna get screwed over as did Saints last year with Ball.
No doubt he wants one more year at Pies to get life membership but too bad, put him in the draft Freo.
Hey Trent - need you to take one for the team
We're going to flog you to Freo for huge $ so we can get this extra pick to draft this kid named Franklin. (and some nice coin)
Need you to go over there and sandbag it for a couple of years, then we'll buy you back for bugger all (in fact they may pay us to take you back).
Might even win a flag when you get back.
Brennan and pick 10 for 5 & 25.
Not much difference between 5-10 this year, unless Brisbane really rate somebody.
Reckon they like Gaff, who would be able to replace Power/Black type.
Eagles a big chance to take him though.
We'll take Tambling thanks. Richard is a far more respectable name than Buddy....
Stuck
i agree that tarrant is having a laugh at their expense but they should just take anthony rather than get nothing
General manager of player management Brad Lloyd said Faulks, who held down full back last season for Williamstown in the VFL, tested extremely well at the 2010 State combine.
?He excelled particularly in the 20m sprint and vertical jump testing. At 195cm, he is a key defender who has a fierce competitive nature and elite closing speed,? Lloyd said.
Hmmmm :P
Mitch Thorpe was it?
if Collingwood won another flag it would be a fairytale come true for him surely
Will struggle to get a game with them you'd think
Medhurst retired, Lockyer retired, trying to trade Leon, Dick bad shoulders.
could work out well for him.
Just see it not working out as well for him as it could.
Hope I'm wrong for his sake
Dockers Guy Faulkes looks a good pick up cant understand why the Goldy keep trading of these blokes are they convinced they will pick up a better 18 yr old with pick 55?
he is good enough to find a spot - no premiership team ever keeps the same 22
I think GC have more picks than they know what to do with....
I reckon the Crows paid overs for Tambling
Dockers pick 55 did get ontraded by GC to satisfy Pies as part of Fraser / Krakouer deal, hence GC didnt really care what they got. Just needed a pick in the 50's for the Pies.
Played a 100 games at a bottom club, Richmond, and for mine a bit player only whilst there.
Dominates season in WAFL, but I like to judge WAFL on State Games, where he went OK, but WA got beat up, former AFL blokes like Blackwell, Brabazon struggled for a kick until the heat was off, so taking that into account depth of WAFL for him to play against average at best.
Going to a Premiership club with great depth, think he isn't likely to get a walk up start in the Seniors.
Thats my point with the Goldy with all these draft picks surely a couple of mature age key position players would have been handy.
Hope Kraks goes well but cant see him having much impact at Collingwood.
