    Great tactical ride Willie

atleast it got clear running - a few others are still looking

Bob Peters horses 99% chance of being ridden back - especially ones on Oaks/Derby preps

Thanks Della thats the differance between you and blokes that dont actually no what there talking about instead just having pot shots for no real reason like the Ringmeister race again NFI
  • Watch Ike in this next race - he will show the Jocks how you ride a good thing from a wide draw

FYI i thought he didn't do anything wrong on ringmeister, but was lacking today, i was expecting 3 wide with cover and getting some momentum up before the corner, why he would go to the rail is perplexing, didnt help that the deficiencies in his ride were highlighted by harveys genius grabbing the one-one with ease

Be very careful betting on welldrawn horses today

was watching some of the replays from the last midweek meeting and a lot of horses who went for the cutaway struggled to compete

middle of the track is probably where the winners will come from

so when metalman comes to the outside this time, it will be unstoppable
della, what the hell is happening with the cutaway!!!
i thought metalman had them on the turn :(

It looks like the harsh words from the Stewards have had an effect on P.Harvey.....zero effect! Too bad if you had Pintada Prince for 4th in your quartet...The Regulator certainly laid in under vigorous riding

Well were all out of quadd after that
  • keep following Moon Tycoon - the first 4 all wilted but it wilted the least :P

Jocks get fined for going too slow - surely they should also get fired for going too fast???

no comment...hate been out the quaddie so early...well a least i can watch my favourite old show Bonanza....them horses seem to run quicker than the ones i pick
  • the SKYWORLD presenter keeps saying PIKE is going for 3 wins in a row - maybe those who backed DREAMAWAY should try and cash the tickets with him

also had to laugh when one of them said Gerald Ryan trains Miss Vinnoire
  • seriously that looked like a dead heat - not happy

Was a strange decision he took. Perhaps he felt the horse needed to be wound up earlier as never seemed to be able to keep the back of the leaders.

Grantham on the other hand decided that the cutaway was Arctic's best chance and rode him that way from the wide gate. Pity couldn't get the 2nd leg of quaddie.

Not sure how they can be classes as experts Della.
  • better ask PR.com that - only ones claiming to be experts

    ---------------------

DREAMAWAY (William Pike) ? Crowded shortly after the start. Bumped near the 1400m. Steadied passing the 1000m and then raced ungenerously and was unbalanced for a short distance. When questioned, rider advised that the filly had been inconvenienced shortly after the start and consequently raced further back in the field than anticipated and he added that it was unsuited by the moderate pace in the early and middle stages and consequently had to be steadied from heels on a number of occasions in the back straight and then had to be angled outwards across heels passing the 300m to obtain clear running.

Stewards inquired into incidents over the final 50m. It was established that approaching the 50m MOON TYCOON (T. Ikenushi) when racing greenly, was crowded and steadied as THE REGULATOR (P. Harvey) shifted inwards. Shortly after this PINTADA PRINCE (M. Grantham) was tightened for room and was eased over the final stages when CANTIC (W. Pike) shifted outwards slightly and THE REGULATOR continued to shift inwards. In assessing these incidents, Stewards took into account the racing manner of MOON TYCOON at the 50m and also the slight shift outwards by CANTIC as THE REGULATOR shifted inwards over the final stages which contributed to PINTADA PRINCE being tightened between runners and as a result Jockey P. Harvey was told that he must demonstrate to the Stewards that he is taking corrective action to avoid tightening to other runners in future otherwise further action may be taken against him.

From the stewards report: Jockey P. Harvey was told that he must demonstrate to the Stewards that he is taking corrective action to avoid tightening to other runners in future otherwise further action may be taken against him.

Maybe it's just a cut and paste as I think I've seen that before
