Lot of support for Base, the 2nd last in Sydney.
On the 7 day back-up, really attacked the line strongly in winning last couple
    Happy with the 6.50 thx...

    Rosehill

Race 1- If Do You Think runs he will prob win easy. But massive watch on my mates horse Dankashane.

Race 2- Retrive just over Blackie.

Race 3- More Joyous by panels.

Race 4- Brazilian Pulse should win if she backs up off last weeks run.

Race 5- Have to stick with Maluckyday

Race 6- Tripple Elegance gets the nod from Thesio

Race 7- Sepoy on the dry i think is nearly a good thing. Do You Think if he gets a run the danger.

Race 8- Base looks suited in this race. Big tip from the stable.

Race 9- Latin News's last run was terrific.

    Kembla

    Race 1 Darci Be Good

    Race 4 King of Africa

    Race 6 Kezzabelle

    Taree

    Race 2 Operatics

    Race 3 Complete

Seen some average rides but the male model Willaims ride on Brazilian Pulse was nothing short of ugly that word and Williams goes well together

Jeez this carnival over in Sydney town is getting harder ever year roughies after roughies how can a race like the BMW still keep its gr-1 status when 50-1 pops get up most years the quality is still there but the results dont really speak well ????
Well done Ollie great ride but all in all you can keep this carnival light years behind the Melbourne spring

Maluckyday - must go into the Cat files after three unplaced runs at low odds each time!

Just wonder why Jimmy was he'll bent on riding on one rein when love conquers all was laying in . I mean, he had the running rail on his inside, if he just let's it lay in and hammers it or pushes it out with both hands it might just get up. It's not like he had to keep it from laying in on other horses.

    Thoughts?
  • Cup might have just hurt him

C Brown just keeps showing why he is the BEST in AUST

I know it had a tough run today but even from an oaks view, I doubt Brazilian can stay.

I cannot believe Cederberg keeps going around at the odds he does. If you liked Linton you had to rate Cedarberg a chance, he split Precedence and Linton in the Herbert Power at G2 level last spring.

Good result for yours truly, spewing Do You Think was scratched from Slipper had Cederberg into him going for 108,500k. Had a 100 on at 1085/1.

Still good result at $3100 for the win!

    Nice, well done.

Based on his win today, I know under different circumstances, but how do you think it would have measured up in the slipper if it got a start?

not sure, but there was something freaky about his win today. He strikes me as an ideal mile horse, can and does finish hard. Probably a chance in the Sires, im sure he would have finished top 4 today.
  • excellent turn of foot! well done to those loyals that stuck solid..

agree re snowden aswell, he always seems to tear up after the big ones :)

on a serious note, was good to see waller get a bit emotional after rangi's win aswell, gotta be one of the stable favs now for sure

Maybe, or there was a massive leaders bias.

I usually find it hard to determine how good greys look, but Linton looked fantastic and ran accordingly - and was camped on the pace.

Rodd rode the horse to absolute perfection imo, to a degree he made all the other jockeys look silly, his timing on everything was perfect, but he was just beaten by a better horse and there is nothing he can do about that.

IMO linton has lost his explosive turn of foot he had as a 3yo. Just not sure about him.

Lloyd getting him ready for a 2 mile race in November?

Lloyd has said he doubts whether Linton would run 3200m
  • VorgtrafficVorgtraffic    1,755 posts
He could unfortunately fall in the boat which is "cant run 2400m and doesn't have the turn of foot anymore to win at G1 level over 2000m"

    Maybe next year.

Horror day for me at Rosehill Cedarberg am a fan but couldnt have it with the form line through Guyno/Perth Cup winner (Right Wing horse) still running over there.
Shocking should have made a mess of these or was it just Ollies ride?
Retrieve maybe needs to lead in the Derby but Jimmy looks home to me.
Base not the sort of horse I would have much on racing like that who knows?
Swift Alliance should have been on Nash is great on these highweights.
    Still sooking.
