Very interesting viewing. We have been saying on here for a long time that there is way too much racing being broadcast. And i'm sure its not the first time the integrity of Qld racing has been questioned.

And what happens if the 2 TAB's merge? Is this a good thing? Wouldn't that mean less competition???

    Looking forward to part 2.

Dont know if anyone else agrees but its the only product in the world of sport that puts say for eg a test match at the MCG would be like your main metro racing each saturday. And your club cricket would be your prov or country racing.Have u ever seen channel 9 cut off a test match to go to the local grade game or even state game for that matter. The answer is never yet in this counrty we do it all the time.

One channel does this but there are 2 other channels which do not cover "low grade" events so there is no need for anyone who is not interested in the "minor" meetings to be watching that channel.

Allowing Tabcorp/Sky Racing to control our racing product dooms the industry.

This QLD decision is truly bizarre. One must be skeptical of the motives of Bentley and his board. It may all eventually come out in the wash but racing is/will be the loser either way.

Without defending Bentley over various conflicts of interest the TV rights deal was negotiated by an independent group and TVN and Sky proposals were sent to all QLD clubs.

The clubs were unanimous on staying with Sky.

The industry should go on strike. Don't turn up to the Winter Carnival.
