    here is the photo from the Cup...thoughts anyone?

    im assuming the two lines represent the two noses?

    Also I'll add that this is not the photo that was shown to the connections on the day for viewing.

    this one doesnt shed much light i suppose. Its from dave Brierely, the on course photographer. He's a little past the post.

    2 things come out of the photo there is a mirror and thereis lines

    indeed. I think the photo shows conclusively that Pentire Point won it.
    Shame the connections weren't shown this photo on the day.

    :D Great day had by all in port hedland for the cup Great effort by shane harcourt for getting pentire point over the line first to take the the cup home. What a year Shane Harcourt has had up there with the small team of just 4 horses and his stats are great i think its like 21 starters for 19 returns Great ride by lemos congrats to all and well done mate :) lookin at the photo pentire point was a clear winner.

    Shane is having a great season. Was probably a little unlucky not to get the double on the day with Junior Soprano getting back so far and running second.

    Is he taking Pentire Point to Broome for the cup? Would be mad not to......

    yeah got a little to far back for the 1400 alright over the mile comes home like a train will be taking his team to broome im sure.

    my opinion is that it should have been a dead heat regardless of if one is marginally in front of the other from the picture, UNLESS, they can demonstrate positively that the margin for error of how accurate the photo finish camera is aligned is less than the margin of error that the photo shows.

    also, if that was not the image shown to connections, then the obvious question is....why not?
