Classic elle allup Manawanui Black caviar and more stawberries. They'll all win. WIll pay about $18. Throw in snipzu and Somepin Anypin and thats $54.

    BC will probably get beaten

Been pretty average spring for quailty 2 mares have now won both big ones fair play to the connections but bugger me you couldnt have had either really real lack of depth in good WFA racing at present has been for a while really

Agree. The best race of the spring will be the cup because it's full of quality European gallopers.

Jimmy Choux, Descarado and Lion Tamer the ones to beat.
Rough chances Rekindled, Pinker, Sincero and Helmet.
Definitely an open race and a blow-out would not surprise.
Having not run further than 8 furlongs I couldn't be on Helmet in the toughest 10 furlong race in the world. Sparks flying from the 1000, i reckon he'll be calling for a taxi on the home turn.

Manawanui would have given that a massive shake. We'll never know this year but next year they'll be there with him.

The worst Cox field in years. Pinker Pinker is a very good horse but when compared to previous winners.........

Disagree completely. I strongly believe that both manawanui and helmet suffered alot from that guineas run. It took a hell of a lot out of both of them. Helmet clearly quite flat and manawanui didn't have his usual sprint. Of the two, even though he won, i was more disapointed in manawanui's run than helmets. On that run, he wouldn't have run top 5.

They went 2 seconds faster in the cox plate than in manawanui's race. With the race being so slowly run, i would've liked to see manawanui put them away quicker. If the derby looks to be truly run, then manawanaui might be a good risk.

I had no problems with the cox plate field, i would say it was definitely better than the crap that so you think beat up two years in a row.

I can't help but think it has been a case of missed opportunities with Playing God. Surely he would have been a far better chance of picking up a Gr 1 in a "soft" Gr1 race like the Toorak or Rupert Clarke and if he picked one of those up then look at the big ones.
Not the ideal prep for the Emirates Stakes now (if continuing on) so most likely will come home with just the 3rd placing in the Turnbull to show for his efforts

He would've been well placed in the G2 crystal mile that TMP won

    King's Rose for me.

Im the same, now that Descarado is out.....
If you are keen on King's Rose and are following that form line. Throw Pinker Pinker in your trifecta's and quinella's too!
Sometimes I should take my own advice!
