Last form analysis from Dominic Beirne for the carnival:

http://promo.betfair.com.au/dominic_beirne/

He doesn't like Jimmy Choux at all - thinks Secret Admirer, Kings Rose or Red Tracer best chances.

Anyone else like anything?

Interesting offer for TABozBet account holders (you need to have got an email with this).
Have a minimum $50 Win or Place tote bet on the Emirates Stakes, and if you don't collect, we'll refund you $50.

It's an Emirates Stakes bet you can't lose this weekend!

Available for Win or Place tote bets only - no turnover clause or minimum odds clause. View full terms and conditions below.

I didn't get that e-mail and I have a great reputation of losing with them.

Race 2. Deadset I will vomit if Eraset wins tomorrow :'(. He is a knob at the distance but a cat at the track. Going to be on team Snowden here with Erewhon. The Somepin Anypin form is good for this and he did have a few excuses last time out. Big fan of the Commands progeny and 1600m looks ideal.

Race 6. Well the Begg factor for me get's Secret Admirer over the line first tommorrow. Super runs this time in and drawn to run well.

Race 7. Think I have found one here at the juicy odds of 21.00.
Dance with Her has been up for an eternity but hasn't had a run for four weeks so should have just been ticking over in preparation for this. Certainly the distance poses no dramas and with gate 1 she should be in it for a long way. One of my favourites Placement looks a rough place chance.

    Doomben

Race 7. Skating on Ice was huge first up and is a second up winner. All the stats indicate this is clearly the horse to beat and looks a monty.

Whilst Bauer on form looks a special I could never back a 9 year old at even money. Call me ageist if you like ;D

If your on at the $3.20 or so the best of luck.

Foe me ANUDJAWUN looks a reasonable chance to at least place.

    Track and distance suits.

    Eraset has a couple of things going for him;

All his worst runs at Flemington have been @ 1400m (3) and 2000m (1). In one of those 1400m races he pulled up lame. In another he was placed and beat home Niwot & Extra Zero. Only run here at 1600m he was 3rd giving significant weight away to the likes of Willy Jimmy. That type of form is good enough to win this. He meets Happy Trails 3kg better for last start and he arguably should have won that race. The extended break between runs doesn't hurt either.

Based on comments from Peter Moody post race, I don't think she is coming to Perth. Today's heat in Melbourne and firm track has most likely contributed to her going for a spell. They have lofty targets next year and I think that as much as they say they would like a trip here with her and their other runners, I think the horse will end up making the decision for them.

    I hope I am wrong.

Ive never seen a horse win like black caviar...it looks effortless for the entire race. Its ridiculous.

That said...all the talk of imagining what time she could run if nolan asked her to go....i dont think she'd go much faster. I think as much as it looks like she is going half pace, i doubt their would be much left in tne tank.Im of the opinion she would lose her stride if nolan asked her for a strained effort.

    Thoughts?
  • VorgtrafficVorgtraffic    1,755 posts
of course she can go faster - since she has.
