Just wicked. Tiger Peter. Irma la dane

rio spark is a good chance to beat just wicked....rio spark carryied 4kg more finishing within a head of just wicked on the 4th of feb..on sat they clash with rio being 5 kgs lighter after the claim...9kg weight swing is significant.

also in the 5th P.Harvey getting down to 54.5kg to ride morning mist is a pointer....chester road in the 2nd looks set for another win with mabel grace carrying an extra 2.5kgs after the claim.mabel grace is a query over the trip also..forget the others.

chester road best bet....rio spark the value....morning mist and caves road top chances also. TEXAN A BIG LAY IMO

as if durrant was ever actually going to run mabel grace!please. super smart move though to get chester roads weight down

I still cant make my mind up between Checkpoint and Scorn Saxon....but if Tiger Pete can reproduce in the same manner as last run, then they are both in trouble!!!!

Will stick with Scorn Saxon at this stage...hoping the 1200 will suit her more so than the other 2..altho Check Point is 2 out of two over the journey!!!! :?

Like Caves Road a lot and Need Luck each way in the last. Should not be $41. It loves wet tracks and the fresh stats don't look that flash (4s 1-0-0), but watch the replays and its first ever start went off in the gates and probably shouldn't have gone around. 1st up next prep won easily after dropping out 3 lengths off them at the start on a wet track at Northam with Why?!Why?! Valenti on board. Then stormed home from last 1st up at Belmont on the dead, close up 4th to Lady Doll (probably wins if it doesn't lay in) then last prep it was 1st up at Broome which couldn't be a more terrible track for it to race at. Quite bullish that it will give a sight with conditions to suit. The horse is well-named though and I certainly will need it.

Yep that is very interesting, I thought his days of riding at that weight were behind him. I can bet he will be using the smallest saddle you've ever seen......or he might just strap the stirrups to the girth??

Either way it's a 'Get On' indication. $3.30 fixed odds, that's buying money for me. :D

If he didnt get down to that weight whats the point in Peters giving him rides ??last Sat he missed rides on all of Bobs horses in the Belmont sprint ,plus Sweet Serenity, ect ect part of the job i suppose but agree she MM looks a good thing but 1st up she is a freak not as good 2nd up though i also like Desire Path thats my 2 for the day

Understand what you're saying dungy but I've seen Pont using skids on 57kg horses lately... I made the assumption that his desire to lead a comfortable life was greater than his deire to ride heaps of winners at this stage of his life. And nothing wrong with that at all.

54.5kg suggests that he thinks Morning Mist is something special though.

Agree Rad on the desire but reckon the ability isnt what it was thats clear he just seems to go through the motions doesnt have those big days anymore and doesnt seem to be the number 1 man for the bigger stables like Smith,Andrews ect ect thats his call he is isnt struggling $$$ wise a nice situation to be in still on his day when the eye of the tiger is out he is unstoppable ,actually think his best for the day is Full Steam Ahead it was a massive run last start drawn bad again i just hope he rides it cold from the marble if so it will win easy

Yep Full Steam ahead should win too. OK Pont has three rides, all up. Form done, good night.

Where is the self proclaimed handicap wizard and measurer of all things racing, when we need him .
    Race 2 at Belmont.
AD had 3 in it - MABEL GRACE scratched after accpt.
    thus
    *the race still proceeds
    * the weight on stable mate CHESTER ROAD stays the same and doesn't rise to the min. toppie.

I am sure that this principle is against the rules -

and of course in Race 4 AD has his evergreen pacemaker Gw Of China handy yet again for the stable mate DEVILISH INTENT (no pun there!)

And say good bye to your money as well.. Never wins the ones he is meant to anymore...Doubt he will salute the judge all day

Says Dead5 on CRIS can't see anything about the track on the perthracing website. Do those living in WA think we might see a Good3/Dead4 rating by raceday? Can't wait for Race 2! Should be a Talent Show
  • RIORIO    14,902 posts
Not joking so i s'pose it is the nfi...happy to be labelled with that tag... but he just doesn't get there on the ones he should anymore IMO..Or maybe it is just the ones i get on...Either way i'll stand by the comment and eat humble pie if need be on Saturday night..

just checked CRIS, only goes back a few weeks but 3 maidens in that time..acknowledge that's not a good indicator, but got nothing but memory to work on..

it's amazing how many riders use skids, some UK riders use them and a lead bag as well, just change the amount of lead each ride.

    Has been scratched

Race 2 now down to 4 runners. Is this the smallest field of the year to go around on a Saturday ?
