had a bit more time for form and came out with 4

race4 - THE EXPERT, lays in bad and will have to come down the outside, just needs to run straight and in clear room and will donkey lick them at very short odds..

race3 -
AIN'T NO SAINT, e/w if over $5's, be mindfull of
DESIRE PATH(NZ) dropping alot of weight if at odds.

race7 -
AMELIAS DANCER, just needs a clean run in the straight and should account for these again with the extra distance.

race8 -

MULTAHEM, nominated for saturday in town also, hasnt had much luck last couple of starts, great gate and has the claim, should account for these.

No power now on track in Kal...no vision, no photos... a terrific showcase for Western Australian horseracing. It is at least good fun guessing what will happen next... Reckon RWWA will reward them with a second stand alone meeting next year for the boulder cup??

It's a joke. They couldn't run a chook raffle. Couldn't they borrow a generator for the day just to make sure the races went to air?
  • RIORIO    14,902 posts
If that is really whats going on..they should lose the one they have and go back to ameatuersville..eveyone deserves a chance..but they are meant to grab it and make sure there is no reason why it is taken away...KBRC, are very unlucky or????? ...well, i am too far away to make any other judgement

I thought for a moment when he was 12 lengths in front, that the boys were going to get their purchase price back very quickly indeed.

Don't think the 2kg made much difference to be honest . . .

The Karma bus ran over team  Luciani  enjoy the nice 8 hr float ride home  that will teach them for trying to fuk with the system and it was aided by a first class SHIT RIDE by Fish who looks more and more like DR Miller every day in the saddle :))

They wouldn't have run 2nd without the weight advantage, so I guess it was worth it after an extra 10k jumped in.

doubt it made any difference actually, because it's not just about weight.
    feels right though!

Backed Donnyonetime at the TAB at lunch but they wouldn't pay out despite no-one knowing what was going on with the race, since apparently I put the bet on after the jump.  It's good to see the TAB get to profit from their own incompetence. I'm sure those who put losing bets on after jump time are none the wiser.

sigh do even bother trying to say what happened today :-S

power was lost at about 90 seconds before the 3rd race (the joys of western power when the go offline).
the race was run, the tab had no start time and betting was closed at 1253.38. to which the stewards were then asked what was the actual jump time was to which it was issued 1250.30 and since as victab closed betting at 1253.38 there was 3 minutes of bets being placed therefore they had to be cancelled. The delay in payout was due to victab still cancelling bets an hour + after it had run.

then later in the day victab lost the link to wa so they where closing races on jump time even if they hadnt jumped yet.

a message was sent to agencies about cancelled tickets placed after they had jumped that a refund is there and if the ticket has been chucked out then a lost ticket claim can be done.

turnover wise it was just short of record on course, off course was a record of $1.4m.

the same thing with the power happened about 5-6 years ago on kal cup day with the power going out half way during the day.

god only knows what will happen saturday.................... [-O<

How is dan Miller immune to criticism for going to the front by that far? I didn't see or hear the race but fair dinkum if anyone else did that and the horse got beat 13 lengths they would get shitcanned big time.

If an apprentice did it they would get tutelage from the master of apprentices so how can it be OK for someone with 214 years experience to do it?

Just because it is expected of DRM doesn't mean its right.

No mention from the TAB as to what happened on Ozbet, RWWA or PR.com. Not surprising at all. Maybe we can read about all the issues that happened today in the stewards report when it comes out in two weeks time.

Also interesting from today was Chilled Ambrosia running 2nd at big odds. I noticed when I was doing form last night that it was beaten 34.5 lengths and was to trial to stewards satisfaction before racing again. Form guide said it had trialled to stewards satisfaction. It was nommed for last Sunday's trials but I'm assuming they didn't go ahead or possibly did on the waterlogged track before race 1? Who knows? Certainly not the punters. Of course there's no mention of this on CRIS or in the stewards report from Sunday.
