Appointment of Harness Form Analyst/Steward
RWWA advises that the recruitment process for the appointment of a Harness Form Analyst/Steward as previously advertised has now been completed.
This position having been created as a result of the review conducted by Mr Ron Davies QC in relation to Harness Integrity completed in 2012 which identified and recommended the creation of a position of form/betting analyst specialising in harness.
The ultimate goal of the review was directed to achieving a greater level and direction of Stewards action in the harness code in accordance with RWWA’s commitment to Integrity.
In total there were 16 recommendations which have now been implemented in accordance with the management action plan confirmed by the RWWA Integrity Assurance Committee and Board.
RWWA advises that former WATA Chief Steward, Mr Trevor Styles was the successful applicant for the above position.
Mr Styles has had extensive experience in Harness stewarding having worked in very senior roles across Australian jurisdictions. His level of experience, seniority and familiarity with the local industry and code in general will be strong assets to the harness panel.
Mr Styles will be commencing in this position as of Monday 28 October 2013
