This Steven Fletcher bloke seems to have made a bit of a name for himself, a professional gambler who used betting accounts under police officers' names, received inside information from a former tennis professional to wager on a "rort in tennis" and now this enquiry into getting mail regarding Mosheen's last race in which she flopped and since been retired... I like the end quote where he was heard asking for more chiro mail lol I wonder if he got the mail on More Joyous aswell...

Police phone taps have revealed high profile punter Steve Fletcher
received advice from an unnamed stablehand that Mosheen "can’t f….n’
win” prior to last career start when she finished unplaced in the 2012
Tristarc Stakes at Caulfield.

The information was made public during evidence on Thursday at a NSW
Police Integrity Commission (PIC) investigation into the gambling
conduct of two police officers.

Fairfax reported the PIC heard that in an intercepted call on October
20 last year, the day of the Tristarc Stakes, Fletcher spoke to a
Victorian-based stablehand, whose name has been suppressed.

"Your phone's not bugged, is it?" the stablehand asked Fletcher who replied, "I don't know, could be."

The stablehand then went on to say Mosheen "can't f---in' win” due to a back problem that was being treated by a chiropractor.

Fletcher gave evidence at the hearing that he "laid" Mosheen, who
after the race was found to have fractured a hind tibia in the run. The
multiple Group I winning mare was retired after the race.

In another intercepted call after the race, Fletcher asked the
stablehand if he had any more "chiro mail” saying "that was a great
result”.

Racing Victoria chief steward Terry Bailey said from Hong Kong that he is "monitoring the reports of the inquiry”.

steve fletcher was also implicated in the Bobby El Issa pulling up of horses. He was laying them on betfair.
where he goes, trouble also follows and he also bets into perth when the information is right.

With an ounce of luck, this inquiry will result in Steve being rubbed out by racing authorities for life.
You wouldn't want his business Diva

These things will keep on happening forever in racing, sure people will get charged and turfed out of the industry, but when there's money involved it also brings some form of corruption.Steve Fletcher will come and go, but someone else will take his place. Those of us who choose to bet have to accept that something wrong could be happening, anywhere, anytime.

My guess is that all of the Perth bookies already have his business given they can't knock back cash bets on course. Rubbing him out won't change anything.

I'm also guessing Player get some of his business given the book management strategy they use.

But all is good according to RWWA
