Yes I will be outside the course but only because it is the return to Belmont. The card itself is ordinary. It is only the change of scenery that has any artistic merit. It very well could be the only meeting of the season I cover this year at Belmont.

It's a pity I can't make it to Northam the following day. That is a much better program with a feature race
worthy of a Saturday.

Gidday Everyone -

Thought I'd respond to your post Wizard re the third.

Ora Dare won over this track & distance towards the end of its last prep & got within 2.5 secs of the record.

That's unusually good in Perth staying ranks. It beat admittedly ordinary opponents but by 3.25 lengths & ran a dominant last 600m of 34.65 secs.

Ran the best sectional behind its stablemate Peck over 1800m second up & should be cherry ripe for the Stayer's Bonus.

I've marked it 4/5 (that's $1.80 youngsters) - WA TAB briefly bet $3.80 - now $3.20 & shorter elsewhere.

(If this gets beaten I'll wait another six months before I pop my head again up here)

Had a tiny little play on Nitro in race 7. Not sure hes going to run out the 1600m but will get a soft run and Whiting can just switch him offf. He rides back markers pretty well willing to find out at $51/$14.

Also had a play on Dash For Home on the week back up and back to belmont. He has met a fair few of these at Belmont and now gets a decent weight swing on a few of them. Preying the favourites get rolled here for a big result

Good luck taking on August Knight, gets to the track lighter than the main opposition, can take a sit, where there are about 3 others that have to lead..Will sit in behind them and pop out and destroy them in the past 75m...Finished the last race full of running, but ran out of room..
