Joffa, Touchstone are only standing the two Stallions.

Thanks for that Damien.where did he go?

Honestly I don't know. David Bishop told me about 6 weeks ago but as it wasn't decided at that time where he was going so I didn't comment here. My Atacanta has gone home to Alan Macalister, but he really only stood privately at Touchstone. So they will run with those two for this season.

The early bird promotion I understand has been a success again. They get quite a few people committing early. They also have a large social media database to bolster their newspaper advertising, it seems to do the trick for them in getting numbers.

I think if a few more studs did it  it may give there stallions decent size books.seems sensible business wise i think.

okay, a bit more info Jof.....there are a few i'll be looking at. We have an owner interested in purchasing, so we'll see how we go. Wouldn't be surprised if we leave it to next year.

There we go, a bit better response
    ;)

I once launched one for free, photographed the property at least four times. Built the database to 950 people, and was told by the Owner to take it down. I don't even know if they are in the horse business anymore.

I haven't seen any stock for this upcoming sale. There are a couple I like on paper, but unfortunately I'm flying to Ireland the week before for a five week trip.

agree mate....TS cop a bit of flack on lots of fronts, but they have the attitude of getting the progeny to the track..stallions at good prices for our market.

wont ramble on, and on...but Studs need to find ways to keep people breeding...TS are at least making it affordable....am a fan of FP, so real shame he doesn't appear to be going around again..

he looks like a stallion but you have to admit he is a dud commercially. The main owners a great people but that means squat.

If the stallion sales at the recent inglis auction are anything to go by eg Shinzig $6k then you might be able to take FP home! for your own personal use. But i doubt it. =))

but if you talked someone into buying shinzig and he covered 20 mares @ $500 you would be in front. On the other hand, i have nuts and i only covered 1 last season. That is a loss
