Off down South for a week, might venture out to the track on Friday, hope it is a bit tidier than last year. got a bit messy. The local rag says they are going to check people coming in, and refuse entry to anyone already under the weather.

One thing I saw mentioned, not enough Jockeys, with one race with 11 starters and another with 12. and also Faithfull/Wolfe partnership not happening at the moment ?

In regards to, guessing this  ?  Last meeting replaced on 2 stable horses, ended up with one outside ride on the day, and full engagement Boxing Day, but not for the stable ?

yep saw that but also Wolfe only has horses in 3 races....got a feeling you are probably though....if you get there for the first and see 2 people nervously patting a grey horse in the mounting yard, it'll probably be Mrs RIO and me. If he places in the first 3, come and see us for a free drink..

Not my home area, but accommodation at this time of year would be stretched I'm thinking- any port in a storm may apply.

Would have tipped the last 5 winners if Wild Ruby got up, however ended up better off with a bigger payout on the quaddie and the trifecta (boxed the 3 favourites) with Bindaree Lady winning.

Fathoms of Gold went through a tried sale for only a small multiple of what a 'reprocessor' would pay. Long way to go, but today was Dante's Banquetesque ...

Got there just as they jumped in the first, I'm guessing Rio your horse ran 3rd, good job.. By the time I got my bearings it was almost Race 2.  Good crowd on course pretty well behaved, heard there was a minor skirmish in the bar, but not that I saw. Service around the course for drinks & food was ample, cannot believe only 1 Bookie, mind you other than the last two races, there was not a lot of good betting to get enthused about. All in all, a good day out, well run by the Club

yep, that was ours lg.......I also saw no hassles, the bar was a bit full and a bit of a wait to get a drink, but no dramas about that.

the guy standing behind us as the race finish asked us once we quietened down if we were on that one???, we said we owned it... He said the winner?????? we said no the third one, he shook my hand said well done and wandered off with a slightly confused look on his face!!!!!!

The club does  well with what they have and looked like a great result for them....although every conversation i heard when i went to the pisser was guys talking about what tabs they had, how much they cost and when they were going to take the next one......I've never heard such open discussions...must be a big issue down there in the 20-30 age group!!!!

well done indeed Albany. The club has stepped up with most of the other clubs in Australia in providing free vision of their meetings.
Now with racing.com and racingnsw.com.au providing all Vic and NSW replays for free, its time for WA to fall into line with free vision.
PR have been charging for long enough but that is no longer sustainable in my opinion.

Just love what the Albany Racing club is putting up.  There are a couple of horses I like to watch from NZ.  Well done Albany RC
