but WHAT %, damo and rio.....statistics do not lie.....about 80% do not even make it to the track...(goodness knows what happens to the poor buggers).
if they all made it we'd need 20 divisions of the initial plate.
take off the rose coloured glasses, boys...its a bloody raffle.....

youd be the luckiest bloke alive then Falc... yours made it to the track and won a race... placed in town too...
    what are the odds??

Dont most horses have Sat wins in the city? Maybe I'm just used to being involved with a quality outfit. #IR

I keep up with pedigrees by subscribing to Bluebloods every issue has the pedigrees of all Australia, New Zealand, USA, South America, Japan,Asian and Europe stakeswinners and have it on the lounge coffee table so while watching tv I can research to my hearts content keeping an eye on all the new trends happening all over the world.

I photographed Ellie Cockram yesterday at the Northam Race Club. thanks to Nicole Bell for making the facilities available and to Brock for running around unlocking a few gates. Sharyn Walker, who is second camera for Simon Merritt on race days in town now, assisted with the day.

So here are a couple of shots of Ellie, I did have another model present, but I want to hear back from her before I publish any images. I have another two sessions planned for next week.

I'm still looking for a couple of horse related trades to participate as well by the way.

Of course some of these images will make up the exhibition I am planning for at the 2015 Perth Magic Millions Yearling Sale.

Parry, Treen, Lilley and Moran. But there are several more but I couldn't use them all. I thought about this shot a couple of months ago as I know Northam very well. I thought of it only as a B&W image to build a bridge to those names of the past

I drove 220km's round trip, packed almost $15,000 of photographic gear into the car for the shoot, arranged two models, staff to open up, bought lunch and drinks for all participants, pre-purchased over $5,000 in artwork for the upcoming exhibition I am staging at my cost and did it all for free to promote the WA Racing Industry.

And you want me to declare this an advertisement ?

    Get a life.

Well he is the one that comes on here promoting himself all the time I thought that was a reasonable question to ask or is his ego something that needs polishing all the time.

Ascot based Trainer, Sonya Price, also came along to the Northam Race Club for my photo shoot. Here are just a few from the day.

I have something special booked for next week as part of this series for the exhibition. Something most don't see every day in Racing.

    well done Damo...

oh and spudley, every-time i make a comment or post about my horse I'm promoting myself and my horse syndication business to all my owners and potential new owners...several who have come from this site, but you never attack me for that???

Same could be said for Matt Rigby, Bruce Saxlid and Harvey Crossman. But you leave them alone too.

Damo has been a walking, talking free promoter of many aspects of the industry for years....If he can find anyway to reclaim a few dollars back for all the time he puts in, then i personally wouldn't begrudge him that.

    At least Damien is upfront.

This is not Damien's facebook page if he wants to brag about his business and photo's this thread is not the place to do it.

As far as bagging anybody on here like Matt, Bruce or Harvey I'm glad I don't know what monicker they post under.
  • RIORIO    14,902 posts
and that's the point...you see it and we have a different view on it...i can handle that...

Damo chose to use his name, but if he was using the name ELVIS and posted photos and proffered opinions on breeding, then we'd just think ELVIS must be a photography freak with weird ideas on bloodstock.

He and AC get their heads kicked(sometimes very warranted) cos they use their names, which some infer - rightly or wrongly - is their way of promoting themselves or their business/hobby activities.

Well in reality everyone on here who is in business is promoting themselves every tine they post, but quite a few want to just focus on them...i mean every time Into It posts i become more determined to never take a horse to her or associate with any one that does....As i know (cos i've been told) my comments on here has stopped people buying into horses that i have or are involved with...

anyway i'm just wasting time cos the racing is so bad today.

I would prefer if he was using ELVIS then I could have wished him happy 80th for yesterday.

You do get hot under the collar Rio. You already associate with someone i used to train for and me training for you is zilch.

What happened to the idea of freedom of speech...............and thought.
