Met Eye on the BOM website is showing for Perth - 95% chance of rain - amount 10-30mm tomorrow.

Mount Barker is predicted as 95% chance of rain - amount 15-35mm. Also Sunday - 50% chance of rain with 0-3mm.

Both meetings would have to be in grave doubt about proceeding based on these predictions. He does Mt Barker track handle the wet?

9am tomorrow..it might miss the track, reports that it is a bit patchy..

Think Bom an the emergency services really hype these things up too much to be honest how often do we hear destructive winds only to get big sea breezes like winds the cyclone is sweet FA

Just looked at the weather gurus notes at CSIRO 20-30 mills between Midnite Tonite an midday tomorrow hardly cause to abandon with the drying capacity

Geez they race on heavy tens In the east we have abandoned meets before prematurely

One thing tho il be off the roads tomorrow some young kids driving have never driven on a really wet road in Perth

Barker is a bit different. It's tight, and gets VERY greasy with any rain. My money is on us making the trip down on Sunday for the 2 main races, only to find the jocks call them off after the first couple.....

They do cover their arses though =))
"Should the system take a more southerly track on Saturday, heavy rainfall may extend to parts of the Metropolitan Area."

Best bet is to have a look around 10am tomorrow. At least then there is a slight chance of getting it right

So that would rule out sunday if the meeting is postponed

Trainers & Riders please be advised that after further
consultation with BOM a less severe forecast is now predicted, and
todays ASCOT race meeting will go ahead as scheduled. RWWA Stewards.

As above emergency services always OVERSTATE the threat of weather every single cyclone alert nearly is over stated every heavy weather event over Stated

It's the way they prepare the public anyone would think they own shares in bottled water companies you can usually chop in half the notice then again an you get to the truth

All go today irish eyes will be smiling bar sales to go Gang busters an skirts bound to be short

To be sure to be sure
