    Negatives - missed kick badly, held up badly.

    Positives - young Casey didn't try and be a hero and place the horse in a tight position down the straight. There looked to almost be a run a couple of times, but he played it safe with her.

    If he had been able to get to the outside early in the straight, I think she could have run second. Ifs and buts though...

    Better price next time too.....

    Finally got settled in at the doghouse. Didnt want to ask but it sounds like the horse got locked up in a 6 horse race. Is that right? A basic summery please?

    you got it pretty right squid..

    With the benefit of a pause button, team meeting with front and side video replays - we may have organised a better run down the straight. And as you say, still not too far away after missing the kick by 4-5 lengths. Young Jake may not have picked the best pathway, but he made sure he protected the horse.

    One thing i don't agree with is that she will be better odds next start...After that run, I think she will be kept safe next start.......which will probably be in 7 days!!! just have to see how she pulls up from track-work on Tuesday, cos that will probably be a tougher hit-out than that run!!!!

    Missed the kick by 4-5, cruised up on the inside of the last horse, then sat and missed a few gaps and ran up backsides for 200m, went back to the trail with 50 to go but all over.

    Yes got blocked for a run in a 5 horse race..Hot Goods very clearly and easily out front...Should be back out there on Saturday

    I think without all the dramas would of challenged the winner, was bolting after missing the kick and has been beaten a couple of lengths.

    Essy pulled up well after the run. And may be going around on Saturday!!

    As for the ride??? There have been a few emails doing the rounds of the owners!!! Running into a wall of horses in a 6 horse race when one is a mile in front and another has been dropped off really doesn't warrant a lot of comments!!!

    At least the horse wasn't beaten up in the run and will be ready to do it again Saturday if the trainer chooses to go that way

    I'm not saying it was a hook job, but a month or two ago the ride would have been investigated. Where's Chief Schreck now? Is he still in town?

    Punta are doing the right think. She opened on AZBET at 5.50 and has come in to $5, but think Punta are still5.50 or a bit more..cant check here
