If the exact same field lined up in a race not called the Karakatta, would that also **** them?

Lets get some perspective here guys.

It trialled on the 19/1/15, when none of you were owners.

Deal done by about the 21/1/15, has since won 3 Saturday races, and $119,500 in stakemoney. Not even a year has passed yet. Couldn't ask / hope for any better than that. What an awesome outcome.

As an owner I am yet to have a Saturday starter, let alone a winner.....and by Saturday I mean in town, have had plenty of Saturday starters....Broome, Derby, Marble Bar, Newman, Esperance.

I would like to know how many horses earn $119,500 in their career, let alone in 2 preps. Some horses are early runners, and some aren't. Make hay while the sun shines, because the older they get the harder it is to win races with them.

its been a great ride I agree. Not too many of mine have won three saturday races.
sure its all over inside a year, but thats the way you want it... ive paid up for years for many a sore horse and ofcourse, they never get any better.

Have had horses in a similar situation, good prep, then come back and not fired a real shot, then the time to decide, try again, or cut and run at a small loss/break even/or dwindling profit. That is the $64,000 question, head to a 3rd prep, you may just be burning money, but unless you try you never know what will be produced in the 3rd prep. Interesting times

geez what a big week its been...Without the Essy situation!!!!

As is obvious by the above link Essy is on the market. Not all owners are in agreement so maybe some of the current owners will buy her and go around again. We'll all know more in the next few days

Gee Whiz Lads , Why not just lease her out ...... I change of scenery might do her good (unless you know she is genuinely cooked )

looks like it, freo but we have had a great ride....I say "thankyou essy xx"

not many owners get 3 sat. wins...people have been in the game for decades and never got a winner let alone 3 sat. wins...its a dream.

I'm the Syndicate Manager, trainer is the major shareholder..it works okay, but not unusual to have a few different opinions when decisions need to be made...it's the old majority rules reality, but it doesn't mean the minority cant keep going on..

May have got the best out of her as a 2yr old, due to good placement. She just not running for the trainer and appears disinterested, vet checked her after the race at York and no obvious problems...hardly puffing.

So move her on and get into the next one. If someone gets wins out of her good luck to them

Good question FH...Falcon and i were the first ones to jump onto this one and i reckon it has been great for so many punters and first time thoroughbred owners to come together maybe we'll wait for another trainer - or this one again - to put up another ready to race proposition up on the site..Martin really did put his gonads on the line by taking us all on.. Full marks to him for being so gutsy
