yep just seen it...news to me...the fact that negotiations had been going on without my knowledge would be of no surprise to me. The major owner was given free reign to do all the negotiations.

Am sure I'll find out about this tomorrow. Maybe if they get passed in on the auction they give you a free listing on their site!?!?!? No idea, but no biggy either way.. Bit of shock value i suppose, but as the majority of owners were happy to sell, probably not really shocking... I am sure there will be a reasonable explanation

we all wait with baited breath..

regardless I do think the current part owners should have been advised as a matter of courtesy.

not pointing that statement at you rio...you are a 1000% dinkum bloke.

Sorry fellas didn't mean to set the cat amongst the pigeons. Just couldn't understand the logic of not being able to sell her for the reserve then advertising her elsewhere for 5000 more than she failed to sell for
  • RIORIO    14,902 posts
not an issue huck, no dramas.....A bit out of left field that's all... She is his to sell. But the pricing policy is a bit weird given that the reserve is published after the auction finishes!?!?!?!

    Seems logical to me.
You set a reserve as a min you will accept = $15k.
You list for sale and you will get offers less than the list price. So if you want $15k you list at $20k and expect to be offered less.
    Its not rocket surgery guys....

May seem logical to a seller but when a buyer has seen that horse come no where near the reserve a wry smile comes on ones face

Yes, if i had a minimum price of $15k, i certainly wouldn't advertise it for $15k.. And in this case we have said that as it didn't sell we'd carry on......

I'll also find out who had it offered to them for 30k, i reckon that is more interesting than the fact that she was put on the site for sale for 20k to be honest.

EDIT.....On second thoughts..it really doesn't make any difference and there is no need for a 2% shareholder to know crap about that..We are all on for the ride...The owner of the horse can do whatever he wants to, and all the 2% owners know he wants to sell it and move on to the next group of young ones he has in his care.. makes a lot of sense to me.

She still for sale even though she didnt sell on one site
You just need to find a buyer but in mean time we will carry on as the yotk run would be putting alot of buyers of
  • sintisinti    109 posts
Do we expect to get the price we are asking no i dont that why she is 20k
    Its as simple as that

we are not 2% owners, rio, we are 30%+ owners.

I've got to the stage I could not care less....grab a few roubles each out of a sale or plod on.

plans change daily by the look of it.

As they will Falc... Just remember that as she didn't sell in one place doesn't mean she wont in another.

And now I have the story from the other side, Huck deliberately went about setting a cat amongst the pigeon...See it doesn't matter how much good will you try to put out, there is always at least one that wants to suck the goodness out of everything.

Essy will be running again before Xmas.. In the interim she will be for sale. After that run she will also be for sale, and if she runs again for us she will be sale after that one, and the next one, and the next one.

And Falc we are actually representative of about 45% in total as a group. Give or take about 10%, and those 10% know what I mean by that. But if we all disagreed to the sael ad the 55% owner said it was selling. We have two options 1.) buy the owner out...or 2....follow what the majority owner does.

We have already agreed that we don't want to buy the major owner out, no individual owner has negotiated to buy the major owner out - that I am aware of - and therefore she is to continue with this prep and is still for sale.

And Huck can be happy that they caused a moment of unrest amongst what has been a fairytale ride for so many horse owners...

Lets just get her happy and get her winning again. You watch those replays of her wins and gets your blood pumping.

Hey Rio, not sure where you got that from. Quite happy to talk to you personally if you wish.
Plus it is me not they.
Talk to me & you will see I am a decent bloke just like you.

If your a bloke Huck your not the person that anyone has been talking too. So whilst I am very comfortable with the fact that the person who was spoken to is a very, very nice person and full of integrity an merit.. I'm certain that she is not a decent bloke like you or I.

Or if your suggesting I'm a nice girl, then you just a bit off track...Although if you were using someone elses identity and misrepresenting that person maybe I should let RWWA know about it??? mmmm choices, choices, choices. But that would be a bit bitchy of me.

If your interested in the horse, get back in contact with the owner.. You now know what his bottom line is (the reserve) and I personally think it would suit the area that the lady who spoke to the owner works in.

It wont be negotiated here, and it wont be negotiated with me....It will be by replying to the add and negotiating with the owner who placed the add.

Anything less and your just being a 5hit stirrer for reasons I have no idea about...

  • HuckfinnHuckfinn    23 posts
Whoa up there Rio. Read my first post. Not once did I say the offer was made to me. I heard about it from another source. How was I to know that you as owners did not know it had been posted for sale elsewhere. There is no other side to this story as you state I was just stating what I thought. Go right ahead & report me to RWWA you are way off the mark. Let me also state a fact. Martin approached her not the other way around. Am I a **** stirrer maybe, maybe not but not in this case.
One of your owners in a round about way knows me. That owner being Dale. If you contact him & ask him while his time at Touchstone who was the person who dropped off a carton plus bottle of scotch to him for looking after there mare, which I'm sure there weren't many who did then you will know I am not the person you insinuate I am. If you don't think I am a decent bloke so be it that's your opinion
Sorry that it has reached this point. I said to you once before I don't mind a bit of banter but will never indulge in nastiness

I think I've squared it away with the person who the owner talked too.. Which to me is very important

Everyone knows everyone who knows someone in this industry.... I'm not into naming people on here, there are lots of reason why people stay anonymous... So we'll just leave it there...as I said before, why anyone needs to stir things up when we were introducing about a 6-10 new people to horse ownership I have no idea..

And so we go on again...Let's try to restart once more!!!! Go Essy...

Never a truer word spoken Occy.
