Thanks for posting the photos link Goosie.

Sniper you have joined a queue that recommend the Kojonup Cup as a great day out. I will have to consider a visit in the next year or three.

What is the next picnic meeting that isn't too far from Perth?

I would like to see Toodyay resurrected as a regular winter and spring venue. A course with character. I'm not fussed on the once a year fixture but back to a grass roots racing followers' day out I would certainly support it on a regular basis.

Depends how you interpret "Picnic" meeting, to me the Toodyay's etc don"t count they are Country meetings, Kojonup is the only authenticate Picnic meeting in my opinion

I think "picnic" means amateur riders.

    is Kulin a "picnic"?

I didn't infer Toodyay was a picnic meeting mind you the track hosts a meeting only once a year now so it could very well be classed that way.
  • kulin is another great meeting and weekend also amateur riders

I did not infer that you had, but I inferred that to me a Picnic Meeting is for Amateur riders, with Licensed Throrobreds under the watchful eye of the Establishment

Places like Kulun, unlicensed, I classify "Bush Races"

I see Kojonup replays have been added here, a good site to follow outer country racing https://www.facebook.com/CRAWesternAustralia/?fref=ts
