you'd expect that Frenchy, but if my head was one to role I'd be suing them for unfair dismissal as it is a practice that has happened previously and no one lost their jobs over it!!!! Unless there was an agreed performance contract...nothing will change.
I actually think that Yovich has been appointed as the protector of the RWWA asset known as CITY RACING...which may accidentally claim a few scalps along the way at PRacing
Cut the riddle speak out. If heads will role I reckon it will be done as a result of Yovich finding a better way to manage the assets for all of WA Racing....He is too old, and too experienced to go in there as a caretaker of Perth Racing. But with PR running worse that a 5cylinder 202 in a HQ, I reckon he will sit back and clean them up one by one , when he has identified people to take on the roles that need to be changed....All IMO............

If the talking heads at PR read these posts as some of them clearly do. Why don't they come on here and either debunck what this post is about or have the balls to come out and say we may have a problem.I know the later would be highly unlikely , I might go and ask some industry people ie (jocks & trainers) what there take on it is and see if they have reason to be concerned

HOLD THE PRESS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I just got a report through from an old contact that there is nothing to worry about.
The track has been effected by an ACT OF GOD. The parrots ate all the grass seed. And not to be concerned about the lack of grass at the moment as they are confident that there will be an ACT OF GOD. Which will fill in all the bare patches with thick, lush and long grass in the next few weeks.
So all's good. They told me if it worked this year, then they'd use the same tactic on the Belmont grandstand in the off season.

I'm told at least one racing writer has jumped.
In unrelated news, but referred to earlier in this thread, Thursday's media conference with champagne bubbly to celebrate the world first event, has been postponed a week.
Can we assume that everyone has to practice their lines and smiles for the camera's and they are just not convincing enough yet?
LOL
i hope he sorts out some of the current problems at perth racing, i miss the big crowds of years gone by

I never thought I'd think this but the sooner RWWA step up to the plate and take over direct management of racing infrastructure on the 2 tracks in the city the better the industry will be....and the easier it will be for PR to manage the club for the benefit of the members and not get confused with trying to be promoting the industry....
I'm not sure it can actually be done...but I'm starting to think it'd be abetter situation that what we have now..RWWA paying PR to do it (like the vision and trials up to recently) and them not doing it properly and RWWA feeling the financial loss.....by losing prime races or total meetings.

Speaking to a track worker yesterday he has his reservations about it being ready

I've got concerns about this due to the ryegrass having a slippery leaf. Sure it looks good and acts as a good "filler" but if there is any moisture or too much Ryegrass it can be a dangerous combination with a horse I'd have thought

agree Bobby from my limited experience.....And you don't have to talk to too many people who attend the track regularly, to hear that they have no confidence it will be ready....or safe, even if declared ready!!!!
Think the green paint would have been better than more rye grass personally
Ryegrass can provide green winter lawn overseeded on on warm season grasses that go dorment in winter..Ryegrass acts as a erosion barrier , while the permanent lawn develops, it also provides a almost instant green covering. This green coverage is usually the main purpose for its planting. Unfourtunatly ryegrass has a shallow root system so I think most of us will know what happens to it when 500kg plus animals start running on it
