And trembles does it again. Rides the filly along the rail, slides off the rail coming onto the straight. Horses spread but there appear to be a gap....So he sits and waits for the gap to come.......Oh my, and these jocks got so many better rides than Bogenburger did when she was over here.

Banning myself for a few days again...Starting to sound like Damo, and focusing on all the negatives only!!!!!!

Could park a car in that gap.

If you blokes are talking about Fille De Merit, as Bart used to say, the gap was travelling faster than the horse!

Not sure what time they ran in the "Ted" but I don't think I have ever seen a horse go slower than Pounamu approaching the winning post the first time. He was almost trotting.

Well done Rusty! The milky bars are on you!

The great thing about roughies you don't need many to get in front...in your case two.

Easier said than done though. That ride on my Slik Sam in the last was a beauty.

The Flying Scotsman doesn't exactly get the best rides going around but he certainly makes the most of what he can!

After the race thought should have backed the Scotsman and the Frenchman for places...they've run 1st and 3rd both at cricket score odds.

Use to be a favourite bet of mine...back two or three roughies for a place in a big field or a reasonably sized one..get a result like that in the last with both coming in and it's a bonanza!

Always think of these things After the race :-<

Yep it certainly came in a hurry, but you'd hope a jockey with his experience would be ready for when it came......By the time he saw it...opportunity gone....Even though it was still there the length of the straight, he'd missed the opportunity to get into...and then as you say...he didn't have the cattle to get to it!!!!!  @carey Trembles is another name (by me only) for Turner, who regularly has a habit of missing gaps...or not even trying to go through them...

Troy - by choice from me - rides our horses from time to time....Some people on here seem to think that I hide behind my nickname and am not known to anyone I talk about.. HotJules is one of those, but unlike them I am known to many, including Troy, and he has had many opportunities to chip me about my comments, but doesn't...Very good bloke and we always have a chat when we see each other. Just has gaps in his riding style, like most of the jocks.....

Winning connections of the feature race I'm told, outnumbered those listening to Ted speech. In fact those listening were family of the Jockey.

Have I missed something about the name? Why are people not happy?

The C B Cox stakes was race that has been around for 95 years. A time honoured event, named after a man that left Racing in WA, in a better position when he left it, than when he took over.

Check Perth Racings Profit/loss whilst Mr Van Heemst was in charge.

    :-??

Just my opinion, but a Winter staying event at Belmont in June or July would be more appropriate. He did wonders with that place during his term as chairman.

Was bound to happen wasn’t it, 30 degrees, 2 days out from Xmas etc.. most people would be keeping their powder dry for a family fun day down at Pinjarra on the 26th you’d think

Very active Stewards report. Seems like a lot of horses went lame yesterday or over the top.
