    Surely one of our tracks could have lights installed. It isn't going to get cooler in the upcoming years.

    I just can’t understand why we are not racing in the morning? The afternoon is the hottest part of the day.
    They should have a set plan for when it is above a certain temperature instead of throwing meetings around.

    I do believe that this has to do with "tote turnover". Apparently races held prior to lunch or thereabouts lose massive amounts of money from the TAB turnover side of things. The other problem is perhaps getting horses worked and then getting the jockeys back and travelling to meeting etc etc. Personally I'd prefer night racing to starting in the morning but then of course there is also issues with floating horses to night meeting in the late afternoon
